❝It’s been a couple of months, hasn’t it?❞
She offered a weak smile at the other’s words, not taking them as something that was meant to come across as bad. Admittedly, upon returning to Seoul she’d faced a lot of negative feedback from her peers and friends who judged her for disappearing without telling anyone beforehand. In most cases it was useless to explain that she neither had the time nor the mental stability to do so which was why she, if possible, simply avoided the topic of her sudden departure and return.
The other didn’t seem to give off that vibe though. Instead she was greeted with what she presumed to be a sincere smile that she eagerly returned, her own delicate hands intertwining nervously in the process of doing so as though she feared that something negative was going to happen regardless of the other’s amiable behavior.
Taking in the way her companion looked, she couldn’t help the fact that her smile began to widen slightly. It seemed all too familiar to hang out with someone whose presence she had come to cherish in her life, making their sudden reunion all the more lovely in her eyes.
