Until the next episode,
I believe X actually saves Nice before he gets fully consumed by the fear value ā not telling him to kys.
Look at this transition first.
Do you know how terrifying and dangerous this WHOLE color scheme is?
Itās so different from the other heroes who got infected by the fear value. The color changes so fast, and the background sound is so destructive (I donāt even know how to explain it). Itās not just āfear,ā itās like his whole existence is being rewritten.
Nice doesnāt even know what heās afraid of. He keeps questioning why he wants to become a hero⦠until the fear value tries to hijack his soul with that rapid color transition.
And he tries to breathe⦠to calm himself, but his fear value just wonāt stop.
Even as his fear value grows worse, trying to completely hijack his soulā¦
This scene reminds me of Van Goghās paintings during his illness. I forget the exact name of Van Goghās condition, but in this scene it feels like Nice is even starting to forget everythingāincluding his own identity. Look at how faceless he becomes, and how the colors blend together⦠I canāt quite explain it, but if you see it from the perspective of brush strokes, it makes sense.
Before the fear value fully overcame him and took controlābefore he lost everything about himselfā¦
Suddenlyāsnap!
The destructive sound disappears. The chaotic color scheme returns to normal. And most importantly⦠Nice is back in the 3D reality, just like in episode 22.
I've explained why Nice in 3d reality is so important in this post. In summary: Nice is the only one who actually witnesses how Xās power works.
Yes, heās on the building where he jumped offābut through Niceās point of view, do you realize what heās actually looking at?
ITāS SUNSET! Such a beautiful sunsetā¦
After experiencing fear value like thatālike mania and depression crashing togetherāand then suddenly everything calms down with just a snap⦠and what you see next is a beautiful sunset⦠it feels so much more like saving than telling someone to kys. šš
X didnāt come directly to Nice (maybe) because he knew Nice needed his time alone to process his condition. He didnāt attack him. He just let Nice see the sunset and calm himself.
Yes, after that, Nice still chooses to kill himself. With all the fear value trying to hijack his soul and his mind in turmoil and manipulation he gets, itās understandable. However, the important point is that Nice remains in 3D realityāand X is still observing him.
I donāt want to speculate too much on whether X saved him or let him have a peaceful rest by dying (like a form of legal euthanasia). X is the type who might allow that if he thought it was merciful. But what really makes me curious is⦠why did X need to stop Nice from being fully consumed by fear value first?
With all of Niceās story⦠somehow heās the only hero who can really be compared to Zero, even though his power isnāt the strongest. His perfection, his followers, his fragile mental conditionāall of it. Itās like heās more āZeroā than anyone else.
X once said that Zero has never perished⦠so what if Nice is Zero himselfāeither reincarnated, or maybe Zero has simply been de-aged into Nice?
Iāve always been curious about that person who has the same accent as Niceāwhite hair, black-grayish eyebrows, and blue eyes tones.
But if that person is Zero, and Nice is somehow Zero himself⦠then honestly, X choosing to let Nice die is something I can appreciate.
With all the manipulation he has enduredāespecially if Nice is truly Zeroāhe deserves a proper, peaceful ending. I just want to make sure that X gives him a proper funeral, a real goodbye.
