Someone told me I was nothing at a time when I was already feeling that way. He pretty much confirmed that I was a #casualty. Something to do when he was going through it with someone else. #Ouch ... what a pill to swallow! He sure had a way to make think otherwise(manipulation w/words). Some may say, he said those words out of anger due to all that we were going through but I've learned that when a person shows you who they are, you believe them. So I believe him! I meant nothing to him: it's no way. He saw me as something pretty to pick up off of the shelf from time to time and that's that. The problem is, I believed after awhile that it was okay because one day & hopefully one day soon, he would get it together & realize just how valuable I was. One day he would finally "SEE ME!" You know, inside; not just my pretty smile, nice shape, & what I could give in the flesh: but one day see my soul. It was genuine to him more than it was to myself. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. ... So as I put my pieces together completely in a different order (Glory be to GOD for the ability to be molded all over) I realized that I had to see myself 1st. I can't ask someone else to see my value, if I couldn't even recognize it. As I have been fighting for my sanity as well as my wholeness, I have come to accept that I haven't been the best to myself. My value is far greater than I know: "I formed you in your mother's womb!"--GOD ... #Whoa I may never be able to fathom God's love for me, but I do know, I'd rather that over anything else.
