wait, so did you start watching tvd? I thought I read in a tag that you didn't. And btw, as a watcher of TVD I'm finding your current obsession very amusing to watch. :)

lmao basically: i watched all the bonnie/enzo scenes on youtube bc of a friend and fell head over heels (obviously). i decided i wanted more context so i watched s7 (but only eps that enzo was actually in after 7x05) and all of s8 so far. i think, before the finale, i’ll go back and actually watch the show (for the ladies + enzo and matt/tyler, basically). so really, i don’t actually LIKE the show, but to further indulge this new bonnie/enzo obsession i’m doing... research.

I live in the desert so I feel you. Temps will swing 30 degrees (F) in either direction from morning to night and it sucks!

UGH i lived in the desert once so i know that feeling too :( it’s not quite the same tho to have 9 months of winter and 3 of summer like....at least once the sun went down in the desert there was a sense of relief and i could cuddle up with sweatshirts. apparently we’ve had more precip here this month than ever before (the rain decided to set a record) but it hasn’t been warm enough for me to drop the winter jacket more than maybe twice before today (there was a magic day in march i’ll never forget) and i’m just dealing with the fact that i can’t wear my tuque (that’s like, a winter hat) anymore and now my hair will be the bane of my existence until september.

Forgive me, I don't know a ton about proper observance of Jewish holidays. But why will you be foodless? I didn't think fasting was a part of Passover.

it’s not exactly fasting, but we’re not supposed to eat what’s called “chametz” for the whole week. most people translate that as bread, but really it’s kinda complicated. there’s a bunch of grains we’re supposed to not eat because when mixed with water they start the process of becoming chametz (wheat, spelt, oats, barley, and rye), that is, they would then rise if baked. we don’t eat anything that could become bread because when the israelites were escaping egypt they had no time to bake and therefore their “bread” didn’t rise and became “matzah”, which is what we eat now for a week to remember that. also it’s a law in the bible. in fact we can’t have any chametz in our possession, in our homes, in case any of it ends up inside our mouth, so we spend the days before the holiday cleaning like crazy and trying to sell off any food thats not labelled “kosher for passover” (a nice big scam by the way, but only cuz ppl aren’t smart enough to avoid chametz on their own). this is a very typical jewish thing- preventive prohibitions- the ol’ rabbis knew people as a group are not smart enough not to break the /actual/ laws, so they had to put in a whole bunch of new ones to be sure we don’t even get close. it’s called a “fence around the torah.” okay i’m getting off track here. basically i am a carbaholic, a bread addict, and take away my baguettes, pasta, and candy i’m pretty much lost so.... yep. it’s basically fasting for me XD

I’ve had an endoscopy (yeah they’re the same thing) before but boy you better believe I was sedated. LOL They did this type of sedation that wears off really quickly though. It was through an IV, so once they took the IV out I pretty much woke up immediately…I’m not even sure the option to not be sedated even exists here…

yea that’s what i did for the colonoscopy but if i fall asleep it’s very hard to convince me to get up even if there’s no sedation wearing off so last time i slept like an extra 2 hours..i just didn’t want that to happen again.

yeeeea it was a gastroscopy but i think they’re the same thing? they sprayed the anesthetic on my throat but i didn’t wanna be put out for hours so i declined the sedation :/
