XUB Admissions 2017: Apply now for MBA in Sustainability Management. Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB) has released an official notification inviting all the interested, eligible candidates for admission to post graduate courses. Eligibility:Admission Test Applicants are required to take any one of the Admission Tests: a) XAT to be conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur, on 8 January, 2017, or b) CAT to be conducted by IIMs on 4 December 2016, or c) NMAT by GMAC to be conducted during October – December 2016, or d) GMAT taken in 2015 or 2016 (minimum score for applying 550) or e) X-GMT to be conducted by Xavier University Bhubaneswar on 29 January 2017 Applicants opting for XAT/CAT have to follow XAT/CAT advertisements respectively and apply in time. Registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT/NMAT is a prerequisite for applying to XUB, if not opting for X-GMT. XUB Application Applicants also have to fill up the online application form separately for XIMB programme at: www.xub.edu.in Upon successfully filling the online application form and paying the relevant application fee, the applicant will be intimated by email about the acceptance of the form. The last date for applying online is December 10, 2016. It may be noted that besides registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT/NMAT, one has to apply (online) separately to Xavier University, Bhubaneswar.

Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB), one of the leading private universities of India celebrated the 2nd convocation ceremony. A batch of 578 students graduated from various programmes of MBA in Business management, Rural Management, Human Resource, Part Time MBA and Mass Media Journalism &Communications.
Welcoming the guests, faculties and students, Prof. Dr. Fr. Paul FernandesS.J., Vice-Chancellor & Director XUB, in his inspiring speech, said,“Two years ago many of you came from all over India, from all the states with high hopes. Today this institute and university does proud to Orissa and to India. Today you are happily graduated. My congratulations to each one of you on your success and I would also congratulate the parents and the faculty for nurturing your hopes. As the destiny of this university shall have it, you were the historical batch to have lived fully in this university. The university sends you as corporate citizens, as social thinkers, as nation builders to all parts of India and the world. Be ever ready to move on in life to greater heights in the spirit of ‘Magis’. As you move on from this university to the larger world of transformations on nav nirmaans, stay in touch with us and be transformed in the spirit of the vision of this university, enabling people to make extraordinary lives”. He urged to students to be ‘lifelong learners’and be friends till the end, cause “friends who are not friends till the end are not real friends.” Quoting from the Holy Bible he said, “God sends his rain on the just and the unjust alike. We are not here to judge anyone. Go forth and make a mark - a distinguishing mark of eminence,quality andexcellence of the highest orders.”
Mr. RajiveKaul, Chairman NICCO Corporation Limited, Kolkata & Chairman of the Xavier University Board of Governors, in his address to the students stated that though there is a crisis looming large in the world economy, India shall hopefully achieve a growth of close to 8% and by the year 2025 an average Indian will be richer by four times. He urged to students stepping out of the campus to contribute and be an integral part of India’s growth path.
The ceremony concluded with a speech by the Chief Guest for the evening, Mr.Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director, Nestle India Limited. Congratulating everyone Mr. Narayanan reaffirmed Fr. Paul’srecommendation to remain ‘lifelong students’ by citing his recent learning’s during the turmoil which Nestle had to pass through. He shared valuable inputs with the students encouraging them to make the world a better place for themselves, for their families and the society whilekeeping in mind the mantra of ‘10 Cs’: Clarity, Competence, Credibility, Courage, Concentration, Creativity, Constraints, Compassion, Continuous Learning and Contentment; in order to stay ahead in life.
While advocating that they should work hard but not at the cost of sacrificing time for self, family or friends, he mentioned‘work life balance’ is a sort of misnomer as work is part of life. Thus, all one need to essentially do is to balance one’s life.
Among the top rank holders who were recognized and awarded with Gold Medals were -NTPC Gold Medal Topper-Archana Mishra, ShreyaGoyanka, Saikat Mukherjee, Riga Das, RituparnaMohanty, BasavanneppaSankeshwar, Nibedan Kumar Bhawsinka, JalajPathak, RadhikaRajgopalSarda, Avisekh Kumar Maharana and Nishant Mishra.

HBS Club join hands with XIMB to focus on CSR activities in education, employability and healthcare.
XIMB, XAVIER UNIVERSITY Bhubaneswar, known for it’s social activities, and projects related to rural development and highlighting issues of the deprived sections of the society, recently organized Inclusive India Forum 2016, in association with Harvard Business School Club, India.
The objective of the forum was to identify meaningful ways for corporate India to partner with NGOs in their specific areas of focus, primarily - education, employability and healthcare. Participants in the forum include members of the HBS Club of India many of whom are CEOs or a part of the leadership team of their respective companies, domain experts and leaders from several leading and reputed NGOs in India, CSR representatives from the corporate world and students of XIMB, Xavier University.
The Forum was facilitated by CRRCSR (Centre for Resettlement & Rehabilitation and Corporate Social Responsibility) which reflects XIMB's efforts to blend business and development, and foster inclusive growth. It has also consulted leading corporations in Odisha on R&R and CSR issues.
At XIMB Initiatives are undertaken round the year by students in association with corporate stake holders to create awareness or promote social causes and issues affecting lives at large.
Earlier, Prof. Dr. Fr. Paul Fernandes S.J., Vice-Chancellor & Director, said, “XIMB has its roots embedded into tradition, through the inculcation of a value system that nurtures its students into hardcore professionals and most importantly, responsible citizens.”
The CSR regulations and mandated CSR activities have now opened more gates for similar projects with shared responsibilities between corporate, NGOs and other stake holders to bring in large scale changes in the society.
