been considering to use this blog for analyses of whatever media i've been enjoying lately 🤔 i've always been on a weird spot with how i wanna use this acc and usually resorted to only posting my art, but thoughts/critiques on animated media i've watched i usually keep to the myself and friends

anyways, debating if i should do those kinds of analysis posts on this one or make an entirely new blog for whatever i wanna yap about

i feel like i want to make an itchio profile to post free pdfs of digital sketches, wips that never got to see the light of day, and write commentary on some of the art I've made in the past few years. could also be a way to talk more in depth about my oc art or even their lore and the whole history i have with making and drawing them.

i think I've been stuck in this need to ask for permission/validation to allow my work to be seen. I've been coming across portfolios/webpages of other artists who freely speak about themselves and their creative process, whether it be long paragraphs of their thought process of their work, or just some free pdfs of their sketchbooks. its personalized, inspiring, and i like learning about what other artists go through when making their work, or whatever the hell they make that hasn't been posted online before. these people don't ask for permission, they freely share without the concern of if someone will see it or not.

i suppose the larger question i keep asking myself is "well, who cares enough to want to read what i have to say? who cares enough to look at a pdf i uploaded on some sketches, wips, and commentary of my own art?" but that's my desire for validation speaking again.

long story short, i think people who share about whatever they make, whether it gets seen or not, are very brave and i think i want to be like that more.
