It was a rare moment of calm in the Angel's Share. A lazy hour, when most people in Mondstadt were busy with work and the tavern was relatively empty. All bottles were neatly stacked, and the glasses were polished and ready for service. Not a single chair was out of place.
Of course, it'd all change the moment lunch hour came, but for the time being, Diluc had nothing better to do than to stand there, leaning with his lower back against the counter, arms crossed on his chest.
He'd thought he'd let Zola drink in peace without much chatter, but clearly something was on her mind that day. Looking up at her question, he watched her in silent contemplation at first, maybe a little too intensely.
... There was some implicit knowledge behind her question. What did this girl truly know about him? Who had she spoken to? Not many knew about the places he'd visited in his time abroad... Yet something told him she was not referring to anywhere local.
"... I think you're asking the wrong person. When you have a Pyro Vision, problems like the cold weather are much easier to tackle." He said, choosing not to call her out directly, for the time being, anyway.
But he didn't want to be rude by brushing her off, either. With a soft huff, he looked away, to a vague point on the ceiling far above the second floor.
"I'd tell you to ask Albedo, maybe. But I get the feeling you're not really talking about Dragonspine, are you?" His eyes slowly trailed down, back to where the girl sat. "So let me ask you instead: why go to a place you know you're going to hate?"
