Oh look - Kyran has a new job at the hospital Sehun works at! Say hello to the newest surgeon ✨
Sehun trailed along the way too long hallways of the hospital. He had looked way too forward to this break and was just about to call his wife, so his eyes were more focused on his smart phone than on the path ahead. Still, he was somehow capable of avoiding to run into any of the people passing him by, mumbling greetings as good as possible to those, who greeted first.
In all honesty - he never understood why people had to be greeted every single day. Especially those he saw every day, at the very same time. The same black haired woman who came to visit a family member, the same, brunette co-worker who didn’t walk but more dragged himself to his station, so many faces were more familiar by now than he wished.
It was especially sad if one kept in mind, that this was a hospital.
Sehun was about to press the button that simply said ‘Ella’, but hesitating. The blonde didn’t know why, but only now he realized that she was literally the only one who didn’t have some weird nickname on his call list. Perhaps so he could find her more easily, in case anything would happen to her brother? Or because she was the only one he called, despite seeing each other every day anyway? His thumb, that had hovered over the button, finally pressed down and he watched as his screen turned black, the only available button now being the bright red one, that gave him a last chance to change his mind before she could pick up. But he didn’t see reason of why he would do so — not like he had done anything wrong. It was just a casual call after all. Checking up if everything was okay, if she was fine, if Noah was fine. Perhaps because he found eagerness in the thought of hearing her voice.
For a moment, Sehun looked up, just this one single time and he looked into the face of the man, who looked way too familiar. It caused Sehun to put down his phones for a moment, gaze cast over his shoulder and amber eyes as wide as if he had just seen a ghost.
Actually, he indeed did feel like he had just seen one. But then again, had he ever held in for a moment to wonder, what had happened to this particular man after Mint Eye had disbanded? No, he hadn’t. He just had focused on Ella, himself and trying to pick up the fragments of the life he had once tried to leave behind — and had succeeded in doing so. Even if it was difficult. After all, the cult had done its damages.
Sehun took a heavy breath, then shook his head. It was a horrible thought, but there were more people that would at least almost look like Kyran. This didn’t mean it had to be him.
