Still so true to this day (not mine btw)

I’ve never really been much of a fan of evil team plots in Pokemon cause for one, they’re usually just disappointing, the climaxes especially are anticlimactic most of the time, battles just deliver much better. BUT THIS, was another story. GODDAIUM that finale was amazing, everyone coming together to actually defeat the big threat, no bullshit involved. Ash didn’t seem overpowered compared to other characters or take the final blow, but he was crucial for saving Hari-san by using his head, I like it that way. Alan got to save Hari-san, but still apologized to Manon for everything, good good. Animation was on point, music was on point (for once I was glad to hear Volt, it fit perfectly for the gym leader entrance). I like how they just straight up destroyed Lysandre. We’ll probably never know whether he’s alive or not (I’d bank on not though). I already talked about Puni-chan’s goodbye in another post but yeah, the tears were real. Goodbye my man, never thought I’d feel so much for you. :[ Loved the quiet instrumental version of Eureka’s Puni-chan song they used. But yeah, really enjoyed this arc, and the finale in particular. But we’ve still got a few episodes left to go so no point in going full sappy just yet~

Yeah pretty much fanart of the Flare Arc currently happening atm- Episode 41 made me shed tears for a robot character again... T_T

Either way- All I did is color some parts in red because....Team Flare-

I got my bum into photoshop and added some paint splatter behind Ash and his Greninja (not to mention clean the drawing a bit)

I decided to place both versions because...why not- You can see the difference i guess-

Even though Talonflame is now down, I love that for a moment it once again came down to these three, like many times before. The beginning of XY, training to rematch Viola, the battle against Grant, Olympia and the final Gym Leader, Wulfric. I don’t think it was unintentional of the writers to wait until after Ash’s big speech in this scene to have Talonflame fall, and I’m thankful for them for that.
