The Few Who Are Called, Chosen, and Faithful
Not everyone who claims to follow Y’hoshua is walking in His Way. Scripture warns that many will claim to serve Him while living in rebellion to His Torah.
“For the time is coming when people will not have patience for sound teaching, but will cater to their passions and gather around themselves teachers who say whatever their ears itch to hear. Yes, they will stop listening to the truth and turn aside to myths.”
— 2 Timotiyos (2 Timothy) 4:3-4, CJB
“For many are called, but few are chosen.”
— Mattityahu (Matthew) 22:14, TS2009
The “few” are those who respond to Y’hovah’s call to set-apartness (kedushah) — walking in holiness and obedience to His Torah through the Ruach HaKodesh.
“Because Elohim from the beginning chose you to be saved—in set-apartness of Spirit and belief in the truth.”
— 2 Thessalonikeim (2 Thessalonians) 2:13, TS2009
“Chosen according to the foreknowledge of Elohim the Father, set apart by the Spirit unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Y’hoshua HaMashiach: favor and peace be increased to you.”
— Kefa Aleph (1 Peter) 1:2, TS2009
“As the One who called you is set-apart, so you also should become set-apart in all behavior.”
— 1 Peter 1:15, TS2009
Y’hoshua Himself declared:
“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit — fruit that will last.”
— Yochanan (John) 15:16, CJB
Those who are called, chosen, and faithful are the ones who obey His Word and keep His Sabbaths as a sign of their covenant.
“And I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, to know that I am Y’hovah who sets them apart.”
— Yeḥezqel (Ezekiel) 20:12, TS2009
They pursue holiness not for religious duty but because they love Y’hovah. They are the remnant who will stand with the Lamb in the end.
“These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them, for He is Master of masters and Sovereign of sovereigns; and those with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”
— Ḥazon (Revelation) 17:14, TS2009
To be among the few is to answer the call of restoration — to reject compromise, to walk in Torah, and to follow Y’hoshua wherever He leads.
