omg YEAH like. I have known multiple Eddie/Ed/Edward/etc's in my life and never not once have I heard anyone call any of them "Eds". Is there someone somewhere in the world who goes by that as a nickname? probably! but it's NOT a common nickname for Eddie (which is already a nickname!!!) and just imo does not sound or feel natural for either Eddie that I see it used for (Munson and Diaz)

it's the traffic light system of names, completely omnipresent in fic for ??? absolutely no clear reason 😤 we must rise up
