A Suzanne Says....Busy Library Day

Before I even walked in the door, one of the library cats (aka the cats who hang outside the library and hope we feed them, and we do) declared me part of his property.  So I now am owned by a cat we call Boots.

Blind Date with a Book started.

Kelly put on another awesome teen program - fandom themed.  The teens were very excited/loud and seemed to have fun with all the pop culture trivia, giveaways and food.

Trusty Assistant Cody says that these cookies are the backbone of America and I agree.

A Suzanne Says...Soda, Aging and Tags

Another excellent teen program by Kelly and Paul - Soda Booktoberfest (like Oktoberfest, but with soda and reading themes).  There was more button making, food, giveaways, pop culture trivia (see answers above) and of course soda tasting.  I think we served about 15 different kinds, everyone seemed to have a good time.

Security guard Will was looking at a older picture of Annalis and asked how she doesn’t age, to which I laughed hysterically, but it was a nice compliment.

Also, keep your shirt tags tucked into your shirt or some random stranger/patron will put it back for you.

A Suzanne Says...Inventory and Pins

Yesterday, I had the honor of inventorying the DVD series and helping with the teen Halloween program.  The DVDs were all pretty much there, thankfully.  And the teens loved the pop culture pins they got to make, along with all the spooky snacks, scary movie, crafts and the mystery board game. Kudos to Kelly and Paul on a fun program.
