Something i find very interesting about yaezuki is how their businesses reflect them and their views in a way.. like miko loves novels and uses them as a form of escapism to get away from her shrine maiden duties, but in the same sense that you have to realise that a fictional story is not real, can you say the miko before is her truest self or a persona she presents to others? She hides her innermost feelings, and runs away from her troubles by indulging in the (fictional) lives of others. Mizuki on the other hand, believes that one should open themselves up to the people around them. Besides her being a psychotherapist, her job as a maid at a bath house lets people relax and show a more vulnerable side of themselves. She makes you to confront yourself and the emotions you experience, mizuki believes that it’s important to face things head on

I think its really interesting how their friendly business rivalry is also a sort of battle between not just what they’re trying to sell to others, but what their beliefs
