Newt who wakes up tasting blood and asking Thomas to check him for those veins, who doesn't want to eat because he keeps thinking about it, how badly he wanted to bite, to consume, to the point where maybe he doesn't eat red meat anymore.
Thomas who wakes up convinced this isn't real, it's not real, who holds onto Newt because he's going to disappear again, isn't he? Or maybe gets self-injurious trying to wake up, so they have to take any sharp things out of their cabin.
