I have 5 variations of Yaku now and four of them are all gundam-verse. HOW DOES THAT??
Yaku was originally created in my/our 8-year-long rp with NeoYami as one of the generals to Ybasomaru who was the new Daishogun of Ark due to complications of Kibaomaru's death and MOSTLY politics. (Remember, we established this stuff just after the end of season 1 aired, so way before the advent of Genkimaru.) Yba didn't want to be the emperor- truthfully I only made the Generals as filler besides Aisu, but each of the four (Atariya, Aisu, Amazora and Yakubi) eventually got their own development as individuals with individual backgrounds.
Yaku went into the armed forces during the war to detach himself from his family's drama and became the youngest to receive every promotional rank right up to General. He had quite a bit of controversy for it, but he WAS the most obvious choice for Yba.
His sister deliberately went out and murdered Taishi (the emperor)'s paternal mother and mentor Tokeiko and Yaku accredited himself as the killer to hide Fukitsu under the table. He was imprisoned and almost had his title stripped from him, but he gave Aisu a secret about handling her during their interrogation of him, which DID lead them to Fukitsu and drove her off at any rate. Yba ends up rectifying Yaku's innocent with Taishi and things return to semi-normal.
At some point, Yaku and Aisu become romantically involved despite the fact the two argued like cats and dogs (well, literally, Aisu is a country bumpkin soldier from the deep south and Yaku is a ninja from a clan structure to the far north). Despite having been bonded with Aisu, Yaku takes interest in Chamud, the middle son of the emperor and the one who (due to politics) would not be the heir apparent, and he brings about the even younger lad for an OT3.
However, Fukitsu eventually threatens both of them, and Yaku and her kill each other in a final exchange (he had help afterall) which made Aisu apoplectic. Chamud realized he didn't have an established relationship with Aisu at this point, and became self-convinced he was a "third wheel" of sorts- afterall, the two were married. A secret war began within the clan's infighting despite who Yaku left the task to, and he wound up preforming a dark art to resurrect Yaku anyway- under the promise he'd carry on the clan line with his daughter. We sort of left off with Yaku trying to balance this trifecta of getting Aisu back to his old self, supporting Chamud but also trying to convince him that they DO actually care about him, and the fact he now has to manage to bear a child with a girl even younger than Chamud... in which Yba knows is the reincarnate of his sister who killed him in the first place.
Kai and I were all about the fuckery man.
Moving on, that should be the longest luckily, it's 8 (wow going on 9?) years to cover afterall.
Second!verse Yaku was in a roleplay with Lissa (VanillaStarburst) which is where Tatakai-Deau was developed- the weapon that (in it's test run from Yaku's father years ago during the short samurai/shinobi war) had completely wiped Baku's entire clan off the face of the earth- he was the only one to survive as a sparkling. Yaku's influence/ standing in Ark outside of the split clan was never developed since we were playing in a land called Sonomia, where Tatakai-Deau wound up in Fukitsu's hands first, and Yaku, Baku, I believe Twilight? and a few others had to try to destroy it before she could utilize it.
Third!verse Yaku waaasss in my long-assed fanfiction I planned out and never finished, Tenmei: Hinomoto Botsu (THB). In this (as you can read some of it), Yaku was (once again) one of four generals for Kibaomaru as per an arrangement with Britainmaru to keep tabs on Kiba- though of those four, only Nankyokumaru was important to the plot. Nankyoku was also from the first!verse, being the lieutenant under Aisu in that world. I could have introduced Aisu, but the primary focus of the relationships would become heavier around Yaku, so I chose the next best thing, since actual shipping I tried to steer away from- the heaviest of the hints centering around Baku and Moriko, but he was the protagonist anyway!
The world has the same politics as first!verse however- spirits being divided between calm and fire. Calm spirits are unequivocally chained to Chimimouryu, the musha god of reckoning, whose seal was broken and hid away in Ferenigan to amass his influence. Kiba and many, many others of the calm spirits were dragged away so war could be properly waged upon Ark's fire spirits, but Yaku (a calm spirit) feigned complete loyalty to keep Chimi from the get-go to keep the forceful influence low and maintain some of his individuality.
He ultimately frees the Dark Axis trio once they are captured and imprisoned during an assault of his fortress (hence the drawing I had done of Yaku and Grappler). During the final engagement of Ark + SDG against Chimimouryu + the OTHER half of Ark, Yaku seemingly attacks Rele and places a mana lock on her body, permanently sealing her mana and knocking her into a "coma". This prevents her from assisting Zero in his assault on Chimi, however, just as the god was sucking Zero Custom into a mana "black hole" of sorts, Yaku reveals the one he used on Rele was a fake (more akin to a taser) and used the REAL one on Chimi, neutralizing all of his magic capabilities. Evidently, Yaku was able to delude himself into believing the fake he had another mech develop was real to prevent Chimi from drawing upon his thoughts. Chimi nearly killed him for it, but the move ended up being extraordinarily helpful to the Gundam Force's behalf.
Surprisingly almost done, now I didn't bring him into SDGM! probably because the most I roleplayed out there was Baku, Rock, and Hymie my Hy-Gogg.... fourth!verse he was actually a human! I brought him into our Dragonquest roleplay from the ancient city of Brigadoom, which, if you know anything about it, was a lored city from Ireland origins, nor was he a ninja, he actually was a sage who practiced primarily healing magic but also had some few powerful spells on his own- finally having some ability to fight for himself for the first time ever. So, Yaku broke a lot of pre-existing ground in this world, but some things remained the same, like his antagonistic relationship with his older sister, Fukitsu.
And now this is the fifth!verse of Yaku and the fourth of being a gundam. I don't want to have him deeply engrossed with events, especially since it would require bringing into play Fukitsu and Aisu and I have enough characters already asklgjfdnm. Dx;;; Instead, he'll be on an endless search of sorts with his buddy Kapi here from fourth!verse and searching for Tatakai-Deau from secondverse, while still bonded to Aisu of first!verse. :> Expect him to complicate your shit though. Tehe.
you should get a gold star if you read this far for real.
