The only picture I took at pride parade was me flipping out over the Yames (probably unintentional) mention on this mirror at some bar. Blurred for their privacy but my friend is making a very funny face ... oh wait I can rainbow it hang on
Jfc I shoulda blurred my face too.. character in ff looks all sexy when biting their lip, meanwhile reality like🤓
oh also there was a cop (????) or some kind of pig idfk in full swat gear holding a rifle on the sidelines of the parade. I'm not some Pride Expert but I've never seen them with guns out like that before like are you protecting us or are you hoping for an excuse to use it on us:/ anyway uhhhh fuck cops always and forever but especially during Pride month
*Yames is a solo game dev who's made a handful of REALLY fucking creepy, pixel graphics horror games that all do a lovecraftian/cosmic horror in a personal, almost mundane way that fucking. Idk it gets to me and b4 u even ask no I haven't played them🤷♂️ bc I live alone and I'm kind of... a wuss? About certain kinds (this and whatever u call Soma) of horror? Also not playing enything recently anyway so :p
Water womb world inspired artwork.
i hate this game /pos
yames
There's something about Yames' horror games that I really love. The style is perfect but also the thematic material is just so.... I am thinking about it so hard rn
While finding new voices to listen to for talking about life art n stuff I stumbled upon Virtual Carbon, diving deep into various games by Yames.
If Yames is a new name for you and you dig on body horror, you are in for a treat!
Also part of discussing Discover My Body nessesitated getting into the knitty gritty of some fungi biology and a trove of fun facts. Last I checked yall are sluts for mushrooms so enjoy that lol
(EDIT! Was curious, and @yamesgames is on Tumblr! There are development gifs! If you're a fan of Yames' games maybe go peek at their page :3 )
Hey, y'all! I've been getting sidetracked a lot lately and haven't had much motivation to write, so my next full review is taking longer than I would have liked. This is also my first official post on Tumblr. Yaaaaay! In the meantime, I wanna shout out some completely free experiences I've played that I very much recommend! Some of which can be played in browser and take as little as five minutes to complete.
