so let me ramble now

So first of all Dyle is very old school in my opinion he is the type to prob give princess treatment

And Dyle is said to hate physical touch but when we are around it's a another whole story >_<

Dyle would prob be the dom , he gives me the dom energy and would have a lot of stam. :3

well Dyle as a Yan would prob be obsessive and overprotective would gaslight the shit out of us.

and IF SHRIMPO IS ANYWHERE NEAR US oh ma lawd cuz we better pray for his soul to rest cuz he ain't dying a normal death XD

He would be the type to use his chain as a whip to strike toon's head if he needs to or strangles them ,he would get rid of the evidence real quick

oh talk abt his trains HE WILL GO IN FULL RAMBLE mode

If we are a toon he would prob try and make time with us even tho his busy schedule

Hello hi can I request a yandere Dyle can be whatever or both platonic and romantic reader is super energetic and absolutely loves hanging with Dyle they call him bestie and makes him like little trinkets and gifts and ocer all loves the cast and him. Reader is sweet energetic and loud. And never forgets Dyle I mean one of toons asked to hang out with reader and reader is like “okay Dyle wanna come?” Overall reader loves Dyle in a platonic way.

Oof... I love the clock man. I decided to keep it mostly platonic as the idea I had in mind just went that way.

Honestly there's two ways I can see this.

There's the typical Toon! Darling... where they frequently visit Dyle at his shop practically vibrating in excitement.

That or there's an Employee! Darling idea I had... due to an interaction Dyle has where he asks when he gets to be on the Dandy's World show... only to essentially be told it's not happening... which makes him bitter.

(I don't know if that idea goes against shipping rules as it's all platonic, but I apologize if it does...? Still new to this....)

The point is... I actually like this idea as Dyle is supposedly a neglected character in lore.

He's envious that he was created... yet not with the intention of being seen.

Can't really blame him... He was made simply to be a gatekeeper... to keep people in, keep people out, and make sure ichor production continues.

He was never allowed to have fans or even be acknowledged.

He's meant to manage trains, to make sure everything's done on time.

Everything must be right on schedule.

Dyle is practically always drowning in work.

He does his best to manage Gardenview... often bottling the envy he has for Dandy being the main star of the show.

Dandy even got a handler... someone who "cares" about him... Dyle gets work.

Although, let's be honest, Dandy definitely got the worst handler who DID NOT care for him....

Regardless... Dyle will be efficient, just as he was meant to be.

When Dyle interacts with you though... He's distracted.

It's originally an annoyance.

Work is all he has... and you're over here pestering him.

You're very optimistic, very friendly and... loud.

Dyle is doing his best to manage his station... only for you to lean over the counter and ask how he's doing.

There's some annoyance in his features, irritated that he's being disrupted.

But... Dyle probably grows fond eventually.

Deep down I feel like Dyle probably does want someone to see him.

He's so used to being ignored and not given a second thought... it's so foreign when he's the center of someone's attention.

Yet here he is... sitting where he's meant to be with a toon staring up at him with stars in his eyes... or an employee he knows tries to treat every toon right despite what your boss thinks....

He thinks that's all... Just some conversation to listen to as he works.

Yet then you call him... your best friend.

It sends him for a loop.

The clock toon genuinely pauses, staring at seemingly nothing for a moment.

He... Does he matter that much...?

... what's a 'bestie'?

It's then you no doubt have to explain the nickname... which is when he finally understands you see him as a friend.

Not just a friend either... your favorite.

... the realization makes him feel strange...

Why does he feel so... warm?

... whatever, it's just words, back to work...

Then you start bringing him gifts.

Sometimes it's food (I think they can eat?), sometimes it's random little crafts you probably made with Scraps or someone...

He just keeps being given little items.

Dyle originally just took them to be polite... mentioning how he's busy yet... appreciates it.

Now he just has a specific drawer in his workplace that's just filled with a hoard of little trinkets you gave him.

Also if you baked with Cosmo and Sprout to give him a gift? Yeah, he'll eat that.

Who knows, maybe it will be better than the other toons' cooking.

To him it probably is honestly... maybe he's biased but your little food gifts are pleasing to him....

You may be energetic and loud... yet Dyle finds himself used to your presence after a while.

You can be a bit much at times... but you're not like Goob, at least.

Dyle has never been one for sudden physical contact... so he'll be quite happy when you choose to respect such a boundary.

The last thing that probably cements his obsession over you is you trying to invite him to things.

He's working away... yet you come up to him with another toon and ask if he wants to hang out with you.

He... isn't sure how to react.

He originally tells you 'no', he's busy....

But eventually you try to bring the activity to him... leading to him trying to multitask even harder....

He originally is annoyed... but only accepts it because it's you.

He's your favorite after all... and he can't deny how good the attention feels.

Dyle is a very subtle yandere.

He's quite used to bottling his true emotions.

So when he sees you play with other toons or even interact with humans (when they were still around)... he knows to hide his true feelings.

He feels envy... just like how he felt when he was told he wasn't going to be on the show.

Part of him worries while he watches you... worries that you'll find him too boring.

What if you find a new favorite?

What if you stop being 'best friends' with him...?

He doesn't think he's ready to give up the attention....

He feels relieved when you come up to him multiple times a day... checking in on him with a smile.

He finds himself hiding a smile when you give him another trinket or try to hang out with him.

You're a distraction... but a welcome one.

Every day he finds himself looking forward to his one and only fan, immediately perking up when you appear.

He actually isn't all that yandere until he's met with the threat of losing you.

Dyle feels like a character forced to repress emotions... He knows he doesn't have time for them.

Yet... what if he's met with the thought of you no longer being around?

Maybe you're more occupied with other toons... or begin to isolate yourself when all the humans go away... or try to leave Gardenview as a toon...

Or maybe if you're a human, you're fired and forced to leave Gardenview....

Things like this, or maybe even something as simple as you being sent to extract ichor, might set something off in Dyle.

Dyle controls the trains in this place, as said before... he's a gatekeeper.

Dyle would try his best to keep his emotions under control...

Yet toons are often affected by their emotions... especially with an abundance of ichor....

I feel like Dyle wouldn't be overwhelmingly yandere until this point.

He knows you need a train to get around... so he'll stop them just to keep you long enough to act.

Dyle would probably then confront you, asking if he was truly your favorite....

You gave him gifts, you paid attention to him, you made him feel seen...

Yet you're also just going to cast him aside?

He thought you two were... friends... best friends...

You aren't going to just walk out and leave him, not when he literally controls your freedom....

Dyle would probably isolate you and do whatever's necessary to keep the one fan he has.

What would be scarier is you leaving him somehow being the event that makes his twisted form.

You send the clock into so much emotional turmoil that he feels there's no other choice.

I can see Dyle hiding you somewhere like his special level... guarding you in his twisted form.

Maybe he occasionally crawls over to check on you, the serpentine twisted coiling around you to check on his dear friend.

He looks irritated in this form, even more so at your fear, yet he's careful not to harm you.

There's a theory that Dandy and Dyle can control their twisted forms at will... so for this I imagine Dyle is aware of what he's doing...

Just too focused on keeping the one piece of joy he has for himself to care.

Maybe if he isn't in twisted form he just... locks you behind his desk with him.

You wanted to spend time with him, yeah?

Now you can spend time with only him... this idea works better with a toon obsession.

It's a shame to see your normally energetic demeanor wilt when he snaps....

You look at him with fear once you realize what he's capable of... and how he truly felt about your companionship...

You treated it like you both were casual friends, playful and soothing... you thought you were best friends....

So... why...

Why would Dyle do something as heinous as lock you away... or maybe even reduce your friends to ichor if he felt it was necessary (as his twisted)...?

To Dyle, you're still best friends.

It's just that... his view of your friendship is different...

He may be a busy toon, but no worries...

You'll always be his number one priority now... not another soul will ever have your kindness again...

He's allowed to be selfish if he keeps this place running, right? He'll never be ignored again....
