a/n: This is my first TRCNG imagine cause we need content for the best boys in the world. Im reposting this so this is probably bad since its from like summer idk.
It wasn’t just the fact that they had fallen out of love, it was the fact that they hated each other. They couldn’t look each other in the eye passionately anymore. They thought if they just took a small break, all would good, they would come back and they would love each other again. That didn’t happen. In fact it made it worse. They fought even more after the fact. The relationship was going no where at this rate. The love that was a fully blossomed flower, with water and sunlight feeding it as much as possible, equal effort between the two to keep it alive, had developed into a wilted rose, nothing to keep it living, only little things to keep it there. Light memories and little gifts they had given to each other, but those gifts were becoming cluttered space and those memories were making them wish for amnesia.
It all started when Hayoung became jealous over (y/n)’s bestfriend once again. Again, again, again, and again. What was so haerstand? Her and Hakmin were and are just friends. Nothing more, nothing less. Hayoung was and is her boyfriend. Nothing more, nothing less. For now at least. “Why do you spend more time with him than me?” “What does he have that I don’t?” He repeatedly asked. Booming over the fact she went on a simple date to a cafe with him, as friends, and only as friends. Not only was he overly jealous, he was overly distant, they both were. They rarely contacted eachother, they rarely touched eachother, they rarely had non-toxic conversation. They had always avoided each other in public, too shy to make any sort of contact. That was until the reason changed. They were ashamed of each other now, mutually they didn’t want to be seen together. Why would they want to be seen with someone who didn’t make them happy? They didnect, nor did they ever open up to eachother. Even if they did ever talk to each other, they had nothing in common. It was almost as if they got together just to say they had a girlfriend or boyfriend. They never wanted each other, there was no way they did. They couldn’t open up their feelings to each other, they were too different and worried about different things. The two wanted different things in life.
After a long day at work and a long phone discussion with Hakmin about her boyfriend, (y/n) realized the truth about their relationship and realized how toxic it really was. It was time to break up with Hayoung, wasn’t it?
She made plans to meet up the boy she was saying the next he invited him to a local coffee shop. ‘Do you want to meet up tommorow?’ She texted him casually. He simply sent a thumbs up emojo of which ignored. 'let’s meet at the coffee shop around the corner of your house at 10 am tomorrow. She choose a place close for convenience and scheduled it before his normal plans started.
He showed up late but at least he was even there. The two waited in silence for a while looking out the window next to them, sipping on their coffee. (Y/n) took a deep breath, cutting to the chase. “We should break up.” She told him boldly. He looked up at her, half in shock, half in understanding. He hid his emotions simply nodding. She wanted to just leave it there but she would feel bad doing so. “I loved you.” She adds. That only hurt him more. Hayoung must have hated her much less than she hated him. It hurt him. He didn’t expect it to hurt.
He dragged himself home that day, trying not to cry in the streets. There was no one around, it wouldn’t hurt to let out a few tears. Though, he refused. He knew their relationship was toxic, everyone could see that but he didn’t want it to end like this. He was sure he could change, in fact, he was sure they both could. They could love each other again with no limits. He knew that but he also knew that wouldn’t happen. The were done. They were over. They weren’t in love. They didn’t hate eachother. They loved eachother. It’s past tense.
