I should make a kpopthoughts post. saying like "here's 10+ 80s Korean pop songs that are so good they're going to be on some popular K-drama OST in the future, so when it inevitably happens, you can say "ha, I know this song before it blew up"

yes that's the title

talking about kdrama OSTs, whatever happened to the "standout OST§ or "OST opening theme"? like nowadays it's just an excuse to get a bunch of singers on board for a ballad, do people even notice the OST while watching the drama? Because back in the 90s you'd have the opening theme being iconic and competing with regular pop songs on the charts, and even the "follow up" songs would be well used in the drama (the "walking to heavens" OST still holds SO STRONG) and I feel like the last iconic OST was either "We All Lie" from Sky Castle, and the Penthouse Soundtrack. Or has there been any other standout, song-wise?

at the start of the third annual shiny arts festival, messages and memories about jonghyun were shared from a variety of celebrities who are both close to and fans of his. translations of those messages can be found below (in no particular order). a note that these quotations / messages are a combination of those made years ago and more recently. key: the person in our team in charge of stubborness. the best artist, friend, hyung and colleague in my life, jonghyunnie hyung. taemin: a person who loves music and the stage more than anyone. snsd's taeyeon: the most special, cool, fantastic artist in my life. dindin: we didn't know each other well, but every time we passed each other he was always the first to smile and greet me. a hyung i personally want to be close with. baek yerin: (jonghyun is) someone who is sweet, warm, meticulous and well-rounded. an amazing sunbae who i made music and talked about music with. someone whom shines bright, and i want to be like him. jo kwon: we debuted at the same year. a bright kid whom i prepared this dream together with a desperate heart. bae chulsoo: a friend who loves radio and music. ali: a colleague whom, no matter how light, i can feel how much he loves music and does it faithfully and sincerely from the prudence of his voice. jung joonil: jonghyunnie, who is the nicest in the whole world. snsd's sooyoung: i'm always impressed by you, but also envious of and embarrassed by you. we all treasure you very much. iu: a workaholic who writes continously and sings continously amidst much underrating and overrating in order to find his own real existence. when i see oppa, i think: "you should have taken it easier", but i understand him and i support him sincerely. shinkai makoto: he only showed the brightest side of himself and i loved that. jonghyun is a really kind person. a gentle and cool person. tao: the first senior i met when i was in korea. a brother i'm thankful for being my strength. lee hi: an artist who writes melody lines that touch the hearts of people. junggigo: a friend whose eyes shined when he spoke about music, of how this part in this song is good, or how this artist's certain song is good. kim hyungsuk: an artist who made and expressed songs and stages so sophisticatedly that he takes the lead and makes me anticipate greatly his next step. lyn: a beautiful voice and smile. davichi's minkyung: a same aged friend who speaks a lot about serious matters or music when we meet. ailee: someone who will always be loved and never be forgotten. uhm jung hwa: a star who shines brightly. yangpa: a star whose brightness was hugely reflected. baek a yeon: a warmhearted senior who showered me with confetti as he congratuated me for placing first for the first time on a music program. after school's jungah: jonghyunnie who was always happy on stage and before fans.
