The open invitation hung in the aether of her memory for three months before she accepted it. It was at the point where stubbornness no longer won out over raw emotion, when it felt like she was trying to hold together a dam with her bare hands. Leaf slunk into Pyrce sitting room humbled but bristling with irritation. She sunk onto the couch opposite him and pulled a cigarette from her inner jacket pocket. Absentminded, still not looking at him she stuck it in her mouth and lit it with her lighter.
“If I have to hear about the fucking birds in the towers ones more time,” She growled. “I’m going to kill each and every one of them, starting with Morty.”

Yangxi (Expanded Ver.)
Appearance
Yangxi complexion can vary from brown to white. White is considerably more rare than brown, especially porcelain white. The darker brown is far more common. The rarest is gray, though it's not often to find one with gray skin. Their eyes are always black, with a glossy shine. Their eyes are wide, thin and long, allowing for a wider angle of vision for them to see. They have sharp needle-like teeth meant for slicing and tearing, their incisors and canines are particularly sharp. They have long, pointed skulls, giving them a more predatory look.
The hard environment of their home planet has made them resilient, giving them a very dense muscle and bone structure. Almost all Yangxi are also double-jointed, able to bend their bodies. This is what helps them to be flexible, despite their dense muscles and bones. They are incredibly resilient to slashing and cutting, but more prone to blunt force. They have double-jointed knees that bend backward with bipedal feet, which assist in their fast running and climbing speed. They also possess long curled talons on their feet, as well as their hands. Their claws are not often used to fight, and aid the Yangxi in their running and climbing. They can cling to most rugged surfaces, even hanging on flat surfaces, or even the ceiling (if it has texture or jagged surfaces they can use their claws in).
Yangxi, for the most part, have small tails for balance alone. It's rare they grow over a meter long, though some do appear to have longer. Longer tails are often desirable in Yangxi culture, and are often a referred to as a sign of fertility. They also have large pinna, which are commonly 25-40 centimeters long. Yangxi have limited movement of their ears to maneuver them to hear, but they are always upright. Their large ears attribute to their acute hearing, which hovers around 67-80,000 Hertz.
Unlike proportions of most humanoids, they have proportionally longer arms and legs. Yangxi do possess hair like most mammals, most of their skin is hairless or has a very light, fine hair. The majority of their hair ranges from the top of their neck and follows their spine down their back or in some cases, their tails. Yangxi often cut or remove their hair, as it does impede their movement. Their hair is almost always white or black, and rarely varies without artificial dyes.
Biology
Warm-blooded humanoid alien that originate from Kyshan. Despite their appearance, their biology is drastically different compared to most mammalian humanoids. They are bipedal in stature and breathe primarily oxygen. They benefit greatly in richer oxygen environments, but can still operate on surfaces where oxygen is more scarce.
Yangxi are voracious eaters, and can eat massive amounts of food. This has lead to characteristically strong stomachs and big appetites. Yangxi are opportunistic hunters and can eat anything, even if food or carrion is long spoiled, they can consume it with no side-effects. Orally administered poison is inefficient, as they can be observed consuming even poisonous plants with no ill effects. The Yangxi commonly use said poison in their bites, so it's ill-advised to attempt most poisons. Yangxi have sharp teeth more suited to rip and tear flesh, and often avoid or eat plant-matter whole. Due to their high metabolic rate and demanding bodies, Yangxi have a high core temperature. They can’t take to the cold, and will often slow down considerably in colder environments. This makes them very inactive at nighttime.
Yangxi range from 6'-7' in height, but they weigh considerably more than their height alludes to. Their bone structure is very heavy and reinforced. They have tight compact muscles, and a very low body-fat, making them incredibly strong and fast. Their muscles and body structure have high blood pressure, which allow them to maintain blood-flow in low gravity or on their living environments. They developed this body structure living in a low-gravity environment, their voracious appetites forcing them in earlier times to constantly hunt and be active. Because of the low-gravity on the planet, Yangxi often have trouble adjusting to other planets, though often fare well in space travel.
Xharshen
Roughly translated to "gray-faced" or "gray ones", they are a genetic strain of Yangxi and considered an anomaly to their white and brown cousins. It's believed they arose from years of the Yangxi's specialized breeding, though this is not confirmed. Their bodies are denser and slightly larger, making them stronger and more resilient. They are very valuable and rare, only half a dozen per colonized planet at the most. They are taken at birth to begin a strict regime far more intense than the standard military regime that all Yangxi take a part in. The details of what it includes are unknown. Xharshen eventually grow up to become spies or assassins to do the more covert work their government takes a part in.
Their training and exclusion from society makes them intimidating and withdrawn individuals. They are regarded more as tools to be wielded, rather than people, and their treatment is reflected as such. No Yangxi would admit to treating Xharshen with respect, but fear them enough to not cross them. They are rarely regarded outside of Yangxi culture, and their Monarchs will deny their existence vehemently.

Appearance Yangxi complexion can vary from brown to gray to white, with white being the more uncommon of the the three. Their eyes are always black, with a glossy shine. Their eyes are thin and long, giving them a wider field of vision. Their teeth are sharp and numerous, and they have thick claws meant for fighting and crawling on surfaces. Their metabolism is considerably fast, making them quick fighters but not easily sustained. Yangxi are voracious eaters, and can eat massive amounts of food. Yangxi do not differ much in size compared to humans (albeit slightly taller), but they weigh considerably more. Their bone structure is very heavy and reinforced. Their muscles and body structure have high blood pressure, which allow them to maintain blood-flow in low gravity or on their living environments. They developed this body structure living in a low-gravity environment, their voracious appetites forcing them in earlier times to constantly hunt and be active.
Society: Yangxi can be described as thoughtful and pragmatic people interested heavily in philosophy. They are a headed by a constitutional monarchy, while a monarch is the head, they are guided by several councilors (who are often family or close friends). Their council is capable of independent rule, but the monarch can still overrule their choices. Their evolution being heavily surrounded by tactics have lead to a very intelligent, but often cutthroat mentality. Assassinations are not uncommon among higher officials. Many people find the Yangxi two-faced, shaking with one hand and brandishing a weapon behind their backs with the other, which make the species regarded with universal distrust. This tends to make universal politics difficult, especially with Vizier Xazhan trying to fix his people's image. While its common, public displays of killing or attempts to do so are heavily frowned upon.
At a young age, all Yangxi are enlisted in the army or militia. They are all expected to learn to fight, regardless of status. Young Yangxi can accidentally die of exhaustion or the dangerous situations that they're exposed to, but it is very rare. Once they have completed their training, any additional amounts are completely optional. Yangxi are less proficient with guns, more apt for close-quarter combat.
