TANZ MEIN HERZ “Territory” released on Standard In-Fi, new album containing two 12 minutes tracks with band members of FRANCE, MEUTR, TOAD or LA NOVIA collective. Dedicated to the sound of stasis, endlessly elaborated, their music builds from a base of simple, intertwining guitar patterns that take their cue from psychedelic rock, Krautrock and the Scandinavian groups centred around the Silence label while transmuting their experiments in drone by re-configuring them via regionally-specific folk instrumentation like the French bagpipes and violin.
The groups coming out of the Rhone-Alpes area in South Eastern France are making some of the most profoundly inventive and obsessively minimal rock music on the contemporary scene and Territory presents a thrilling snapshot of a counter-cultural flashpoint that’s as explosive as SF ’67 or Tokyo ’90.
