Yannick Robin, the first disabled Ricky was discriminated against in the McCarter theater. They were called names and were illegally fired for the last three shows for throwing up blood, even though lots of actors throw up after their performance., and the role was given to their able-bodied understudy. They were also gaslight into thinking the character was never disabled.
The script is now permanently changed so that Ricky never had the disability. Sign the petition to change that please!
