"my heart is on wings / i'm living in dreams~"
happy birthday to @zelunderthemoon !!! this is my present for them~
HI! could you do 😱,❣️ AND 💞for yanqing!! thank you and have fun!
Emoji Ask
Yanqing
❣️ What makes them blush/gets their heart pounding?
Yanqing receives tons of compliments day and night and he takes each one into stride. You can give him a compliment and you can be sure to earn a positive response, but settling on that means dealing with Yanqing the easy way, which happens to be the same way everybody else is taking. If you truly want to get through him, you have to show him that you see him even in moments most people aren’t privy to. You don’t have to be purposeful in doing that; it’s sometimes as casual as sending him pictures of the street cats that you know are attached to him, and on other days you drop by to check in on him when he has a busy schedule so that you can remind him to take a break. Yanqing is capable of missing the loudest, most obvious flashing red neon signs known to man even if they’re directed to him, but if you matter a great deal to him, he picks up the slightest cues when the situation calls for it, and the moment he realizes the things you do for him, he becomes a blushing mess.
💞 How do you win their heart?
There was one time when you started a phone call with him because you saw a litter of kittens that are soon to be adopted and you wanted to tell him about it. Somewhere down the line you offhandedly brought up a tea shop that opened just recently in Aurum Alley, and they had a rare flavor — you said you’re absolutely certain he liked that flavor because he mentioned it once. He didn’t think anything about it at first, passing it off as a pleasant conversation as he continued his duties for the day. Many hours after the call has ended and his tasks for the day are completed, he remains awake on his bed, and before he realizes it, it’s suddenly way past his bedtime and he can do so little about his racing thoughts. He thought liking that rare tea flavor was a tidbit that he preferred keeping to himself, so when did he slip up and tell you that? For the life of him, he can’t understand why in the world you still remember something he only brought up in passing, and far less does he understand why he is losing so much sleep over something so trivial. He bets this isn’t even a big deal to you. In hindsight, he knows why he is acting this way, but he would be damned if he admits it to himself now, knowing he has to face you the next day.
😱 What makes them worry about their s/o the most?
It doesn’t happen often, but Yanqing has thoughts every now and then about how he might be keeping you tied down to him just because of his duties. As much as possible he would rather have you seek out the world if it means you can find your purpose, something that will ignite a fire in you the same way swordfighting does to him. He just hopes that you would understand that he’s already found his purpose early in his years and he plans to carry it out for the rest of his life, and nothing — not even you — can budge him out of it. Constantly having you adjust a lot of aspects in your life is the last thing he wants you to do for him, unless you keep reminding him that you’re willing to do that for his sake; he would never sacrifice his role for anything else, so if you eventually find yourself in a position where you preferred someone who has enough freedom to devote more of their time to you than he ever could, he is going to step aside for your sake, but it will hurt.
summary : a proud yet naive martial arts club leader develops a crush on you after you save him from a con artist.
note : sobs i love him sm esp after i got back into hsr.. erm btw if ur an adult don't read this LOLZ since this is a fic where he likes u // expect more fics of him cuz i actually like him
highschool yanqing! who is club leader of the martial arts club.
highschool yanqing! who, despite his combat expertise, is still a bit naive when it comes to the world outside of the dojo, making him an easy target for scammers he doesn’t see coming.
highschool yanqing! whose heart skipped a beat when you stepped in after school, your sharp words effortlessly exposing the person who was trying to trick him into giving his money away. He had been too trusting and a little oblivious on his part but you? You were like a knight saving a clumsy highschooler from an embarrassing defeat on his end.
highschool yanqing! who stood there flustered, his cheeks turned a soft shade of pink as he stammered out an awkward and soft thank you, wishing he could come up with something cooler to say (to this day he still wished he had been more cooler after all this was your first impression of him)
highschool yanqing! who started catching himself glancing your way in the hallways ever since that day, wondering if you ever noticed him looking at your direction. His heart would race every time you smiled in his direction, heck he'd found himself even turning red when you spare a glance at him!
highschool yanqing! who started hanging around places he knew you frequented, hoping to casually bump into you and strike up a conversation, though his poorly thought out plans only made him seem obvious to everyone else that he likes you (with yunli even plain out insulting his plan) except maybe you.
highschool yanqing! who worked extra hard(if that was even possible) in the martial arts club, daydreaming about impressing you with his skills someday, imagining how you might cheer for him from the sidelines when you become his significant other.
highschool yanqing! who couldn’t help but get tongue tied and stutter when you eventually started praising his dedication and skills, wishing he had said something cooler in response. Though he would always practice in the mirror, it seemed the effect you had on him made him forget all his lines.
highschool yanqing! who started finding excuses to talk to you, asking if you’d ever considered joining the martial arts club or casually walking you to your next class under the disguise of a coincidence. He never seemed to get nervous during sparring matches, but a simple “thank you” from you had him stumbling over his words and blushing like a madman, making him loose his cool.
highschool yanqing! who practiced in secret what he wanted to say to you so he can ask you out but always ended up chickening out at the last moment. Every time he caught your eyes, he felt like there was a battlefield in his mind which was more challenging than any martial arts match he had face.
highschool yanqing! who finally, after weeks of gathering his nerve, asked you to meet him at the dojo after school. Standing there in his martial arts uniform hoping to look at least a little cooler, he scratched the back of his neck and muttered,
“I… I don’t know if I’m good at this kind of thing, but… you’re really special to me. I know i may be out of your league but will you… go out with me?”
Resentment (Yanqing x reader platonic)
"I win again" you said with a relaxed smile on your face as you pointed your sword toward Yanqing. He sat on the ground, a frustrated frown on his face.
"Don't look so upset, you did good" you tried to reassure him when you noticed the expression on his face. You sheithed your sword and held out your hand to help him up. After a moment, he took your hand as you gently pulled him to his feet. Ever since the two of you were younger, both you and Yanqing had formed a friendly rivalry between you both.
"How do you keep winning?" He asked, still looking a bit upset. You smiled while placing a hand on your hip.
"Don't be discouraged Yanqing, you're getting there" you spoke in a comforting tone. The boy was silent for a moment as he brushed off the dirt from his clothes.
"Whatever...." The boy muttered under his breath before he walked away. You watched as he did so, feeling as if something was wrong.
----------------------------------------------------------
Adrenaline coursed through your veins as you gripped your sword as tightly as you could. You silently cursed yourself for letting yourself get distracted. Blood dripped down your arm as you found yourself surrounded by monsters. Recalling the events that had gotten you to this point, you wondered how it had gotten this bad. You had been called to take care of some monsters that had attacked a group of citizens, you should have been fine, after all, you were a skilled fighter. However, all it took was for you to lose focus for a single moment and now you were injured. Your body was sore, and it was becoming harder to keep a grip on your sword. The monsters were able to see that as well as they approached you with their weapons raised, ready to strike. One of them brought their blade down toward you, ready to strike. With all your strength, you blocked the attack with your own blade, doing your best to keep yourself from getting any more injured than you already were. For a little bit, you were able to hold off the attack, but eventually, your sword was hit out of your hands, landing out of your reach. With no way to get it back, you now found yourself defenseless and surrounded by monsters. Once again, they prepared to strike.
With no way of dodging or blocking, you closed your eyes tightly, preparing for what was to come. However, nothing happened, you opened your eyes after a moment, eyes going wide when you saw Yanqing standing in front of you, blade in hand. You watched as he took down the monsters with seemingly little effort.
"Are you ok?" You were suddenly snapped from your thoughts by Yanqing kneeling down next to you. He examined, your injured arm with a frown on his face.
"I'll be fine" you reassured him with a smile on your face,
"you were amazing by the way" you told him as he helped you stand up, making sure to retrieve your weapon as well. Looking back at you, the boy smiled as the resentment he had been holding on melted away.

Across the cosmos, on all those worlds that seemed so inadequate from the outside, were billions of different forms of life. Organic, mechanical, animalistic, sentient, artificial, plants. A majority of these were non-sentient, acting majorly on instinct rather than linear thoughts that more complex lifeforms held.
You found companionship in this infinite expanse of cosmos, things you’d hold deep within until your dying breath. Yet, your last moments among the living would be ages before theirs. Differences in species would pull you apart before either of you wished, unable to stop the ride to the end, no matter if you even wished to stall for longer. Not without compromising what made you human.
