Might I ask about lil Elias? Some fun facts, perhaps?

Itty bitty Elias... He's just a baby... (literally.) Elias is the second son of Etoile in Jarble! Aubrey was the child of Etoile and Wem but Elias is not. Later on in the main storyline, Etoile decided that she wanted to have another child. But she has no actual partner, so Elias is just the product of a sperm donor! Elias's "bio father" is never mentioned ever because I don't see why I would need to, It's never really relevant to him. Even in the "New Gen" Jarble storyline (the post plot story with grown up Aubrey etc), the 'bio father' never is relevant So Elias is not related to Wem at all, the luckiest trait of all /silly Elias is primarily just... a potato. Just a ball of fuzz really. There are some things/traits that are interesting with Elias, such as a short "episode" I wrote where it's things from his POV as a infant. Hinted at a bit by his toyhouse links to some others (mostly describing smells etc) I think it's fun to have a one off thing from the pov of just a bitty baby Elias also has the trait of "does not open his eyes" I've had friends go "oh like a skitty" but in reality I was just.. making a Bluestar's Prophecy reference lmAO with the fact that "I will open my eyes when I am ready"... because I always thought it was cute. Logically I also imagine that once Elias DOES open his eyes, his eyes will start off as blue and then turn into their actual color a few months afterwards. I do have all my cat OCs start off with blue eyes, based on the fact that cats are born with blue eyes. Idk.. I just think its neat! A bonus silly fun fact... Elias HATES a specific pair of socks that Eden owns.

"how does a infant whose eyes are closed notice a specific pair of socks" I don't care. He senses their foul vibe. Maybe he hates the texture or the smell... Either way... Eden always risks having his feet attacked by a infant on the floor whenever he wears a specific pair of green socks. Very slowly this infant will shuffle across the floor towards his feet to attack. But ONLY... when they are on Eden's feet. If they are just socks on the floor, Elias doesn't care... he hates them specifically on Eden's feet. Bonus fun fact: His favorite food is mushed banana and blueberries, the only food he doesn't throw at one of his brothers. Also those baby food banana puffs that are in the shapes of little stars? Elias ALSO loves those... however so does Alaxia.. Who sometimes sneaks eating them. This makes Elias lose his mind because those are HIS banana puffs how dare you.. grown ass man

Do you have a TwoToile in the Jarble AU?

As of right now? Nope!

However IF TwoToile does show up…. It’ll not be as a normal character

I’ve vaguely mentioned before but, not every OC of mine gets turned into a character for Jarble… in the sense that they are a person.

If I still want to include a reference or ‘likeness’ of a character into Jarble, I may turn them into a Weapon or Vehicle who has the same name!

This is primarily due to the fact that I have a lot of characters and I dont wanna sit down and AUify them all the time. Or maybe I think they would be boring as hell or just don’t fit the storyline for one reason or another.

Like Alaxia’s gun is named Bronte and Eden’s motor scooter is named Luan! Jody’s weapon is named Ulbrecht and her motorcycle is named Tuffsie… etc etc

The weapons are more just nicknames for the weapons as small nods to other characters… they are just names. As weapons in Jarble tend to look a certain way/have certain colorations. The nickname given to them is usually just a small nod and cheeky reference, not much more.

The vehicles I can personalize a bit more to somewhat appear like the character they are referencing… like Eden’s scooter is the same blue’s as Luan is with little heart stickers….

As well as Weird Jarble Fact! The vehicles somewhat… kind of… alive? Kind of. It’s not an exact science.

For example: Wem’s car (named Coffin) can self drive itself. You whistle loudly and it comes speeding up. The car often “growls” or slams its door on people. It grunts or flashes its headlights at people or moves them around as if it’s ’looking’. People often ‘talk’ to their vehicles like they are people… etc

I just enjoy that kind of thing.. as in real life I do name cars/‘assign’ them personalities lol. So it’s leaked into Jarble. The vehicles aren’t fully sentient beings but it’s just me leaking my weird habit of assigning things personalities lol

So when a vehicle is named after an existing character, I may give them that characters personality! Like Eden’s scooter, Luan, is very bubbly and all over the place… just like canon Luan is haha

BUT LOOPING BACK TO YOUR ORIGINAL QUESTION….

I don’t know if TwoToile will be given the weapon/vehicle treatment just due to the fact that in canon, TwoToile is named that as a clone to Etoile… and in Jarble the only clone thing going on really is Maddox, who he is unrelated…

So I’m not sure! We will see. As I still develop and change smaller things as time goes on.

1) Alaxia's Favorite Meal:

He tends to eat a LOT of junk food or take out.... often... even bad take out that's been left in the fridge for too long.. Despite being a "rich model" he only really goes out to Fancy Dinners for family stuff or events.. So most of the time he eats like a raccoon scavenging for scraps because he is too lazy to order something new. However, since Etoile came back into his life/became a mother figure, his favorite food is her Zucchini Carbonara! He actually refuses to eat any one else's, he only eats hers. He has transformed into full mama's boy who loves her homemade food the best. 2) Who is the most loserly out of the cast?:

Honestly I feel like pointing at Alaxia is a bit of a cop out but like... He is the biggest loser ever. Whole plot is him being The Biggest Loser EverTM lmaO But some honorable mentions are The Mayor! More specifically when it's not revolving around the mayor's backstory or sad parts... Bro is kind of cringefail loser and I love that for them. Because it doesn't realize it is being a loser, so it's having the time of it's life. Solo! Merely in the way of this guy fumbles a beautiful dog woman so badly like fumble of the century that is such loser behavior I'm sorry buddy. But also a LOT of characters in Jarble can be very loser coded lmAO

3) What was Eden and Alaxia's favorite game to play as kids?:

The boys played a lot of games when they were younger but by FAR their favorite was any form of Just Dance or DDR. Those two took it VERY SERIOUSLY like this was serious business to them. Two children locking in to memorize Rasputin by heart. I imagine that Heather introduced the game to them at a sleepover, wanting to have fun with the neighbor kids... but ended up awakening some inner beast within the twins To this day, even as 24 year old men... they still take it deadly serious.

4) Does anybody have any nicknames for Eden?:

Eden has!... A lot of various nicknames given to him by everyone lmAO Most of them... tend to be negative. because he is a horrible little man who only gains the ability "empathy" after he almost causes a death and realizes he is lowkey becoming his father lmAO I assure you that he does deserve the hate.. Like he gets better but That Beast deserves it lol

5) Who would get cursed with having cold wet towel after showering?:

Oh it's Alaxia by far. Because I do love to torture him but also because... He can be... kinda gross and messy! He is 100% the type to leave a sopping wet towel in a lump on the bathroom floor, let it get all weird and mildew filled and then act surprised when it's not dry This situation probably happens often... which results in him yowling loudly from the bathroom to have Jody get him a new towel because he doesn't want to run naked through the house to the linen closet

6) What does Alaxia smell like?:

I have always described Alaxia's scent as "tangy".... now did I know what I meant by "tangy"? No. I do not. I just always thought that "tangy" fit him best as a word. But after looking stuff up awhile ago.. I found some things labeled as "tangy" to somewhat describe it more. Most prominently being Pomegranates, Lemon Beebalm (lemon mint bergamot) and basil! I'm not sure if that'll ring as "tangy" to anyone else but I just follow what the google says because I don't even know what I mean by tangy lmao That or he just... He smells like sweat. That is a sweaty man, he is struggling a lot with all the training and violence... I know that the boy just fuckin reeks of sweaty fur sometimes lmAO

Some of the Jarble characters are pretty different from their ask blog counterparts. What inspired or went into the changes? Was it just the change in setting that comes with AUs or something else?

Honestly the reasoning behind their changes / why Jarble was even made to begin with is… weirdly personal etc etc… I made/started Jarble during a horrific time in my life after some [IRL stuff] happened.

A very generalized/messy way to say it.. It was a ‘Tool to Cope’ as I was recovering.

So the original reasonings as to why things are the way they are with it… were highkey made by someone who wasn’t well haha. I’ve been cleaning it up for years to make it make more sense / have more ‘logic’ and reasonings etc etc!

So I can’t really dive into the original reasonings behind it, I can give my ‘current’ reasonings / mindset behind it!

Currently the thought process is:

“How much can I change a characters personality/storyline but still keep them who they are at their core”

What is the ‘core’ of this character? What makes them… them. How much can I remove or change while still have it be.. them. What can’t I remove? Why can’t I remove that? Why am I willing to change this but not that?

I’m not talking about hobbies or their favorite food etc… I don’t consider those ‘core’ aspects to a person. Sorry fellas… the fact that ur a gamer is not who you are down at your core sorry to say Fs in chat.

Because I find wittling down ‘who you are as a person’ to a hobby just.. lowkey demeaning. Like what if I’m not in a situation where I can sew that makes me not me? Makes me less of a person? I don’t think so. I feel like a lot of people tend to generalize themselves/OCs over what their favorite food is… like so if Miku didn’t like Leeks that makes her not Miku? She’s so much deeper than that bro /silly

It was a weird thought process at the time but again, gestures at what I said before. I was in a weird and vulnerable place so I began to overthink and overanalyze things to understand them better

So basically I just began to ‘shave down’ my characters into what I think makes them who they are… then I flipped absolutely everything else.

That is why most of the Jarble characters are so different from their canon counterparts! I flipped everything that was more surface level or what most people would recognize as that character.

It’s fun to tweak and change everything while still struggling to keep them who they are at their core.

Which I am well aware isn’t a new or profound thing to do. My disclaimer dance of… this isn’t an original concept really. Dare I say it’s an extremely common practice when inserting characters into AUs. I know it isn’t special etc etc don’t beat my ass in the QRTs. But remember I said I made this AU when I was in a bad place, so that’s why it’s so important/personal to me lmaO

HOWEVER… AFTER I’ve done all that… I still got one more step. I gotta insert that character into a Ring of Jarbline City.

Which isn’t just slapping a guy into the rural countryside etc. The Rings in Jarbline City are basically giant Mind Altering Fairy Rings. Each ring has its own effects etc lore etc

So I basically… get to change the character AGAIN. Because I then have to try and mold/fit this character into a specific thing.

BUT ALSO IMPORTANT: I do not put characters into a Ring I think they would normally fit in. I choose the opposite or something I think would be more interesting/beneficial to the story.

In canon? Eden would be a Perception Ring guy. Alaxia would be a Mending Ring… etc etc. none of the characters are in Rings that I think they would normally fit into. Putting them once again in a opposite setting

I basically have to cook these guys 3 times before they are done. Shave them down to core traits, flip everything else… then shove em in a Ring.

It’s just fun for me to do! But also sometimes sucks because man that’s a lot of work for me to do lmao. But overall, fun for me! Just makes me think about my characters more than surface level blorbo.

But also… not every character follows this model to a T. Being the creator of the story means that I have the ability to alter and change things however I please to fit things better or to make myself happy. So not every character fits this exactly.

So if some characters don’t seem to have changed all that much or resemble their canon counterparts more… that’s probably why haha. I still gotta make a story and make a story that I personally enjoy… so sometimes I tweak things or make sacrifices for something I want to enjoy.

Yes and also no haha In Jarble, Etoile is not Alaxia/Eden's biological mother, but more of a adoptive mother! But not legally. For full context: Coralie, Wem and Etoile have known each other since they were senior year in highschool. Their relationships are constantly in and out and complicated. I won't go into too much detail here lmao That's all Prequel stuff baby. We are gonna briefly show/discuss the current lineup. Here is my beautiful shitty overly complex family tree:

Eden and Alaxia are the biological twins of Coralie and Wem. They were married for only a year before Coralie got pregnant with the twins. It wasn't a happy marriage mind you, very much a ShutUp Ring/Coralie wanting power and money. The Twins were a way for Coralie to "punish" Wem, as he did not want children. Coralie left shortly after the twins were born. The twins have no idea who she is or if she is alive or not. Wem doesn't tell them anything about their mother due to him hating her. Aubrey is the biological child of Wem and Etoile. Etoile eventually found her way back into the Farefell's lives and fell in love with Wem. He had tricked her into believing that he had changed and once Etoile got pregnant with Aubrey, they became Wem's fiance. After catching Wem cheating shortly before birth/being legally caught with Wem. They split but Wem maintained partial custody of Aubrey. So throughout the story Aubrey is often seen back and forth the houses. Etoile also deeply cares for the twins. Immensely. Etoile sees the twins as their own children and they see her as their true mother, despite Etoile appearing later in their lives. Etoile has not legally adopted the twins in any form, but those are her boys. That is their mama. They wont hear anything different. Elias is the product of a sperm donor when Etoile wanted another child. Just a basic medical procedure, there was no other partner or anything of that sort. Etoile does not have a partner but just wanted another kid.

As I briefly mentioned before, the sperm donor is not a character and does not particularly matter to the story etc.. Just a anonymous person who donated sperm to a bank. Maddox is the Test Tube baby using a sample of Wem's DNA. The product of the Mending Ring attempting to make the 'perfect mending ring citizen'. Basically just a test tube baby made for science

Maddox has no real connection to any of the family, as he was raised in a laboratory. Eventually being ""adopted"" by The Mayor. The Mayor is the only "parental figure" that Maddox accepts, the relationship is mildly complicated so I won't dive into it here lol The current Jarble Plot is when Maddox is forced to deal with Wem/The Twins and all the family as the story progresses. Otherwise before this, they had no contact. Maddox knew the Farefell's existed, but had zero desire to meet them... In fact Maddox really hates them entirely. Seeing the twins as spoiled model brats and Wem as the monster controlling the Shining Ring. The Twins are halfbrothers to Maddox and Aubrey. Aubrey is half brother to Elias. THERE ARE SOME OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE FAREFELL FAMILY but they are like.. cousins etc so I won't muddle it here lmao Thank you for coming to my TED talk of Wem Farefell's crotch goblins (+Elias) //Edit: Forgot to mention.. Some lore about Lucy? Does she has Spinda glasses, or she just have Spinda genes? Just...curious...

Honestly I don't have much on Lucy! She was originally made from a silly prompt post that I had my followers fill out (without them knowing it would be Jarble related) and I just used her to fill out a gap in the labs that Maddox works at! She is one of the few who (unfortunately) that Maddox can tolerate being around for work related things... Due to her mostly being quiet and getting work done and not really bothering Maddox too much I would think it would be funny if she had spinda genes but I think it would make her too clumsy to be working in the space she is. I don't think Maddox could tolerate working with someone who was clumy/ditzy in that way lmao Her swirly glasses were just homage to all the nerd characters who have those swirly glasses that are 'quirky' or what have you. Because she is mostly quiet type but can get overly passionate and silly when talking about fixations

I do however imagine that once she takes those glasses off, she inherits the trope of "overly detailed anime pretty eyes" because I think that would be funny to annoy Maddox with

What would you say is kinda the inspo/vibe for the clothing of the AU?

TOTALLY not thinking about AU-ifying ANY of my ocs once I learn more about it. Nope. Not at all. Shhhhhhh

I will say, please don’t make your own “Jarble” characters/versions without my permission /not mad. I’m trying to work towards maybe making more information available for if anyone else ever wants to but right now it’s just personal to me, as silly as that sounds.

But as for clothing uuhhhhhh

Not really anything too specific about it other than just generalizations.

Overall it’s just a City with people and people just wear whatever they want. It depends on The Ring mostly

Shining Ring can tend to have more bold/stylish clothing but that’s just because it’s more ‘big city’ and there is a model/fashion agency there. People trying to ‘make a statement’ with their clothing etc etc… Eden and Alaxia are models so they often wear a lot of random stuff that was either given to them/they are paid to wear.

But honestly it’s more of a ‘price tag’ sort of thing. Could be an elaborate stunning dress or a tshirt that’s 99 dollars.

Perception Ring can be more ‘rural’ and country type vibes. Flannel and them cowboy boots.. or often has more hiking and athletic gear due to the more natural/nature areas.

Can range from Full Cowboy Time… to guy covered head to toe in fishing gear and fish hooks… to guy who is too enthusiastic about jogging… to a guy who owns at least one flannel.

Mending Ring is the Business / Science area. So just mostly a lot of suits or business attire. Lab coats etc… the more wacky science outfits (ex Maddox) are reserved for those who work at certain labs which aren’t really public.

It’s not quite a copy paste ‘everyone here wears a suit’ but you would notice more people wearing suits as they are just.. on their way to work or returning from work.

The concept of a bar late at night being full of people wearing suits and lab coats of various kinds does make me laugh a lil

The Shifting Place is not a place where people live. You can’t live there, physically you cannot live there. But there are park rangers so they just wear that and then visitors who just wear whatever.

But overall… Jarbline City is just a place and people will kind of just wear whatever they want.

People who live in Jarbline City have more Opinions™️ on it however. They tend to judge each others styles and make more bold opinions on what other Rings wear… but that’s just how people are really. “CITY SLICKER vs RURAL HICK” will always exist and people with these bias will continue to exclaim about it loudly.

I as the author can stand here and go “well yeah. Of course the area with more hills and farmland and ranches would have more rural aesthetics”. But someone from the Shining Ring would wail in agony over “those stupid hicks wear rags and are filthy and oh the horror” as they are pointing to a man wearing a tshirt.

You could place 3 people wearing a tshirt and jeans from each Ring and someone from Jarbline City would be like “ugh that bland Mending Aesthetic” or “ugh the torn up dirty Perception Ringers..” or “god those fucking Shining Ring people always having to show off”

My opinion on the matter is far different than what someone from the story would say lmao

Hey, Jazzy! This whole 'Jarble' dealio you've got rolling seems like quite the shebang! But I've heard rumblings of something called 'The Hends'.

Now, I might not be the sharpest tack but I'm crackerjack at guessing! Is The Hends either a brand new dance craze sweeping the pool halls or a painful ailment that affects careless divers?

Today is the day I finally answer this ask that you sent me so long ago that you forgot you sent it.

Todays that day Cam LastName Pix. Today is that day this is finally free from my inbox. This one silly ask you sent me that I ended up toiling over for no real reason other than getting in my own head about it.

The Hend family is the primary “family” and leaders of the Perception Ring within Jarbline City!

When it comes to the Ring’s and the “families” that run them, technically The Hends are the oldest running family within Jarbline City. They have the longest record of keeping the Ring Leader within their own bloodline.

Unlike the Farefell family who has had random switches from outsiders here or there. The Hend’s have almost always kept it within a specific bloodline for centuries.

“Family” is often used in quotations because a big thing with Jarble is that the “family names” can either mean blood related or heavy association. Like for example, Dysnomia. He is not blood related to any Hend family member, but he is considered a Hend (even so much as having his last name changed legally) due to how associated/involved with the family he became. It’s a label he wears proudly, but still. So “family” is more of loose term.

As some “Farefell Family” members aren’t… actually related to Wem Farefell in the slightest. But just, heavily associate to the point that it’s basically might as well be. Etc etc

BUT THE HENDS.

The Hends live within the Left Segment of Jarbline City. Covering the area that has more open land, this leads to many ranches/farms and whatnot being in that area. They overlap with the Mending Ring in a more Medical Sector of the city. As for the area where they overlap with the Shining Ring… is just basically a war zone.

The Hend’s primary “cover up” for everything they do is basically just “We run the ranch and landscape area of Jarbline City”. Claiming to primarily be used for cattle or various vegetation/food that the city produces. Which.. they DO do but not as much as one would think.

Their primary crimes are usually linked to: Personal Assassination/Hitmen for hire, Underground fighting rings, illegal animal/flora smuggling, marijuana and meth selling and just general acts of physical assault. As well as they make their own (illegal) brands of Poison!

Despite on how the Hend’s seem like a much better option than the Farefell’s…. They really aren’t. But hey if a citizen looks at the Hend’s and think “wow they aren’t nearly as bad as those Farefell’s.” Congrats! You fell for it.

The Hends keep a MUCH cleaner public image in comparison. Which benefits them greatly in the long run!

While the Farefell family would shoot or stab you, The Hends is… personal. Real personal beat downs and other forms of torment. Personal assassinations over petty grudges or meaningless minor things, it doesn’t really matter.

ON A BRIGHTER NOTE:

The Hends are very big on family! Family family family! The members of the Hend family tend to be extremely close knit together. Lots of large bonfires or BBQs or what have you, everyone always going out to drink at a bar where everyone knows each other.

The Primary Hend family ranch is actually the host of many of Jarbline Cities Events! Goddess prefers to be seen in a more positive light to The Mayor, despite her personal feelings towards them.

It’s a good look! The Hends always offering to host events or charities or this or that… it looks really good to everyone else. This again, benefits them greatly. Especially since it keeps The Mayor, more or less out of their business. The Mayor won’t look into things or is more willing to turn a blind eye because awww it’s the Hend family!! How sweet! Remember that event they heldv

Etc etc.

The Current leader of the Hend family is Goddess. Unfortunately her time is nearing completion as the Rings Leader… so she has chosen Dysnomia to be her replacement.

Which is a unusual thing to do, as stated previously, the Hend family usually stays within the bloodline. So Goddess choosing someone outside of that is.. odd.. or well. Odd to anyone who pays attention to Ring Patterns… which most don’t. To everyone else, Dysnomia is a great choice! Time will tell if it’s the correct answer
