The idea of them both getting together over treaming up to make sure marc and vale dont cross paths in the paddock, or at least as minimal as possible.
Imagine this: sepang 2015 is not that long ago, marc still jumps straight into alex arms and cries when he sees vale (figuratively) so alex tries his best to not run into valentino. He really tries but its not really working because he never really knows where that guy is, he was unpredictable enough when marc was in his good graces.
After marc had multiple breakdowns alex goes so far to reach out to luca. He knows him as the calm brother whos actually not that bad. He hasnt actually interacted with him much but from what he knows he knows luca is decent. And for marc he would go talk to luca and at least try everything he can to help marc with this.
Its actually also in lucas interest to keep vale away from marc, because he always keeps on going on a tirade whenever he sees marc, sometimes getting very angry, and luca knows it isnt any good to his brother. So they make a deal to try to make sure vale and marc dont run into each other.
They text, when they leave for trainings or any other track activity. On fridays alex makes marc leave a little earlier and texts luca once their in the box, luca who has a harder time holding vale back, he doesnt really have that much authority over vale as alex has, or he just doesnt listen to him that much, so he sometimes has to text a emergency note to alex about vale taking like a different route and alex has to pull marc into the backrooms in the paddock. And for some reason marc doesnt question it.
They actually manage quite well, but when vale and marc inevitably fall back into bed for the first time alex calls luca and they both go get drunk in the hotel bar downstairs. And from just drinking together when their brothers are doing naughty stuff that develops into them also just going out together because they enjoy it. They still have to keep vale and marc away from each other at most times, and sometimes their general mood is better, sometimes its worse. But they grow in their relationship through the pain of their brothers.
