Do y’all remember the Hatchling Pile @///outersyourwilds did?

Has anyone done a Chert Pile yet? I know it was goofed about a little bit back then but idk if anyone actually ran with it.

If no then hypothetically if I did a Chert Pile would anyone wanna join in?

(I was thinking about hosting it on magma that way everyone is on the same canvas or I could just post my Chert and let the paths branch like the other one.)

Can i be insane about Hornfels again please?

All of the Gossan with hatchling-fever/being a good mentor art i've been seeing around has been making me go 'oughhh... but what if Hornfels...' (more than the usual amount lol)

Like i don't think they'd go full hatchling-fever mode, i think they're too busy to even think about having their OWN hatchlings, but i really do think they have a soft spot for hatchlings who want their help.

Like i imagine them constantly grumbling to others about bugging them when they're busy but if a hatchling gives them big enough tadpole eyes and asks for help looking through the telescope or to find a specific book or like just takes an interest in science or astronomy in general i think they'd cave almost instantly.

My ultimate favourite headcanon is Hornfels being MEGA involved in the Hatchling's and Hal's translator project and the amount of pride they probably felt when their students finally got everything to work properly.

the Hatchling and Hal practically camp out in the observatory while they're working and SOMEONE'S gotta keep an eye on them in case they need help or can't figure something out or something SOMEHOW goes wrong.

I could keep yapping but dear godddd

Do y'all see the vision? Please tell me y'all see it too. I need more Parental!Hornfels and Mentor!Hornfels truthers out there cause theres only a handful of us (that i know of).

Okay so...

I've been feeling it for a while, but unfortunately my hyper fixation on OW is drawing to a close. It's been a fun couple years or making new friends, obsessing over OCs, and writing so SO much fanfiction, but alas.

I'll still be around and i'll try to keep in touch with everyone and of COURSE my dms are open + this account will stay up (and maybe i'll post on it sometimes) but I'm probably gonna be moving on to other things for a while!

Yoopie in summer dresses!!! I actually got 2 asks so i drew them twice PLUS a lil bonus YooRie beach date!!!

They originally weren't quite sure about how they felt in such loose, flowy fabrics since they're used to their tight miners clothes or simply being shirtless around the cabin but after a while (and a few outfit changes later) they started to really enjoy it!! They even got Riebeck to try some on to go to the lake in!

Esker thoughts and feelings tn which is unusual cause I rarely think about them. (Mind consumed by Hornfels and Chert mostly)

Thinking about how lonely it must feel to be the traveller closest to home but being the one forgotten most of the time. How they've taken up a post hardly anyone uses anymore yet they can't leave in case they are needed. How even if they could leave they have no ship to fly home with.

Thinking about how they're a founder, how their signature is on the photo, but most refer to the founders as the 4 actually in the photo.

Thinking about Esker and Hornfels, how their love is probably quieter than the rest. It's filled with stargazing and quiet touches and falling asleep to each other's voices over the radio when they're apart. It's long distance longing incarnate.

Thinking about silly hcs like Esker with dumb science pun mugs they made just to make Hornfels laugh or that they have a little potted vegetable garden in their cabin or them naming the trees they raise that they won't cut down cause they got attached.

I'm actively trying not to think about Esker asking Hornfels to dance by putting their hat on Hornfels' head and tugging at their vest because if I do I will A. Explode and B. Want to draw it and I cannot draw hats to save my life.

Save me from these old fish I beg...

Technically it's pronounced You-Rye but honestly you are not the first to point out that they're just Yuri and it's very funny every time /gen

These fish can have a little yuri as a treat <3

(also I actually had my bf make a Yuri on Ice joke about it which spawned a new draft outline in my notes about them going ice skating hehe I should work on that cause it's very cute)

HORNFELS EMOTIONS ALERT!!!!

I've been so loud about my love of Hornfels on discord but I haven't been nearly loud enough about it here lately!!!!

They make me feel SHRIMP emotions. They make me feel like I will cry and explode whenever I think about them to the point where I can't form words anymore I just point and make noises.

ESPECIALLY them being a good parent or mentor :'}

The moment my art block goes away I need to draw 1 million images of Hornfels and baby Mylo or Hornfels + Esker with their new hatchling Rosie.

Catch me wailing and sobbing in my corner while I think about this stupid fish and the grip they have on my brain.
