Knowing how much yarn is used in a project (and how much you have left) is super useful!

Robert Kaufman Fabrics and Quilter's Paradise have joined forces to bring you this collection of essential quilting calculators. Designed by quilters, our calculators allow you to quickly convert between yards and inches, meters and centimeters; work out how much fabric you need for backing, batting and borders; and see how many rectangular pieces can be cut from a larger piece. There are even calculators for square-in-a-square, set-in and corner triangles.

At what point does it stop being your “leftover pile” and start being your “hoarding problem”?! Also, when do you give up on leftovers? When it is too little to be useful? What yardage isn’t worth keeping? I have questions!! #knitting #yarnproblems #yarn #scraps #crafts #questions #knitter #knittersofinstagram #knit #yardage #handknit #whatdoidowiththis https://www.instagram.com/p/CM22yHBJa3F/?igshid=u1nltpyhqsrl
Squee! This month I was able to budget in the fabric for my winter wardrobe overhaul. Thanks to a gift certificate I’d been saving, that includes some from Mood! Black embossed velour. 1.5 yards, planning for it to be some kind of top. It would be nice to go to their store again someday, but chronic fatigue doesn’t always allow for that. Luckily they have a website shop too.
Come join me @sedimentarts until 6pm for the final day of #remnant #accumulation adding #yardage (at Sediment Arts)
