So I have dogs and they go outside often. I live in an apartment and sometimes we go to a park nearby, or a nature trail, and sometimes it's just a quick little night night potty on the side of the building. About a year ago, at a night potty, I found a name tag in the grass. Keith. I put it on this meter wall thinking the owner would find it if they needed it. Mind you, it's just resting there; it's not magnetically adhered or anything, and it's survived numerous snow storms and thunderstorms, etc.
So just the other night I saw the name tag in the grass, looking a little different or worse for wear. I immediately thought "oh no, we almost lost Keith! I better rescue him and put him back on the wall", so I did.
Fast forward, I don't know a week or so, and I just happen to be out on the side of the building during the day, and I noticed that the Keith's are multiplying! There are two! We never lost Keith One; we just gained a second Keith.
I guess if I live here long enough I might decorate the whole wall with Keith's lost name tags.
It's such a mystery to me how multiple name tags have been lost in the exact same spot...and also not found and recovered?
Have I entered into some game of unspoken rules with an individual named Keith?
If so, what's my next move? (beyond maintaining these name tags as I find them)
