Yarntown - Bloodborne Remade as a Zelda-like Action RPG
Games get glossy new remakes all the time, but there's something about seeing a title get a graphical stepdown that's uniquely compelling.
I think I am fascinated by demakes because games on the computers I grew up with were always getting ports of arcade titles. These were essentially demakes as the computer hardware was never as capable as the latest arcade machine.
And then when I came back to gaming for the umpteenth time, mobile phones were getting a lot of titles that were on their more powerful console counterparts and instead of being 3D they were more like SNES or Mega Drive games that i grew up with. Again essentially demakes.
Yarntown takes the best of both worlds as it duplicates the gameplay and map design found in Bloodborne while sticking to the aesthetics...
