Alexa I absolutely adore your queer daryl discussions. I don't watch the walking dead but you put up such well thought out dialogue on your interpretation it gets me pumped and it makes me look forward to working in the film industry because Im gonna put my effort into queer and POC representation and its great to see an audience member so unabashed of their interpretation. Keep doin you, dont let the haters get ya down, and work it, girl.
publishing because this is perfect and the whole point
(and also cuz my last thing that i wrote was i think full of swears and inarticulate, but I'm delighted it has an impact)
but this, man, this is the whole point. to try and have an impact-- to promote a dialogue to show that the audience isn't passive, to show that representation is INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT, to show that the way things are isn't okay and the way things can- and should be- and hopefully in the case of TWD the way things ARE-- is so so so so so important. and that we, as an audience, should never feel helpless and should always KEEP TRYING.
ILU darlin you're wonderful and this was a wonderful message to get, and I trust and know that you're going to do wonderful, wonderful things as you get creating. This is so important.
Don't let anybody every tell you "it's just a tv show." this is SO IMPORTANT and we can do anything we want with it- especially change the world.
