Hi, I was just wondering a few questions about Gammas .... how parents, brother and sister react that the child is a gammas (the same question for betas) and how do we know that this kid is a gamma? Are they born with or will they have to wait for their puberty to know? (Sorry for my bad English) otherwise I like your writing it's so interesting that it gives ideas for my drawings * 0 *, good day / evening.
Heyyyy! Hope you have a good day too c:
To start off, the initial, conservative reaction to knowing their child/sibling is a gamma is disgust and disappointment. Being a gamma in society means that more often than not, the gamma will be ostracized for having a “disability” even though they’re completely capable of doing things just like their natured counterparts. However, if the person is fortunate enough to be born in a family who accepts them as they are/take it upon themselves to learn more about gammas, then I’m sure that the whole family will be just fine! c:
As for betas, back when they were looked down on, families would react quite similarly to the gamma reaction. But as times progressed and equality was more or less achieved, beta children would be welcomed with open arms just like alpha and omega children. The more conservative families would, of course, still give their beta children a harder time but all in all the situation for beta children has improved tremendously as compared to the past.
Gammas will be born gammas, and they’ll know from birth since they have no scent (apart from body odour after like exercising and stuff) and no scent glands at all. With advancements in medical technology, doctors can also scan the mother during pregnancy to check on the development of the foetus’ scent glands. If they haven’t developed, doctors will inform the parents that their child will likely be born a gamma.
