It’s #pride in the city of my heart today. Brighton (UK) was the first place I lived when I first left home. It’s also #yaweek of #goodreads so here’s one of my favourite YA couples Baz and Simon 💖 #bookish #booklove #bookworm #bookstagram #bookphotography #magic #photography #bookstagramfeature #booknerd #bibliophile #bookaddict #bookaholic #bookporn #greatreads #readersofinstagram #bookshelf #booksofinstagram #lgbtbooks #carryon #rainbowbooks #rainbowrowell #yalgbtbooks
Last post for my #YAWeek set is this adorable novella set in the beautiful city of Iloilo! 💕 #BuwanNgMgaAkdangPinoy ⠀ •⠀ From my blog review last year: ⠀ "First few lines at the beginning of this got me hooked, trapped and reeled-in!⠀ ⠀ The development of the characters, as well as Melissa and Lance’s romance were on point too. Somewhere in the middle, I found myself eagerly waiting for goody-goody Melissa to break and unleash her inner rebel. ⠀ ⠀ Her father was suffocating! I get where he was coming from but jeez, let her breathe a little. Melissa as pretty enough to worry any parent, sure, but she was smart enough not to get herself in big trouble, too. Okay, granted she did get tangled up with trouble (called Lance) but that’s beside my point. If anything, Lance changed to a better, more responsible student because of Melissa. Her father should know that! (Obviously, I have very strong feelings for this but that’s because Clarisse wrote this so well and she got me so invested. Haha)⠀ •⠀ Special mention to: + The secret date (the very first one!) as it was was handled authentically. Anyone who’s had panic attacks because of fear of being found out will know exactly what I’m talking about. 😜⠀ •⠀ Tagtime! #peterpanbooktag (from @mostlyfantasybooks)⠀ ✨Neverland (a book that never gets old)⠀ The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett ⠀ ✨Peter Pan (a book that rescued you from a reading slump)⠀ A Glimmer of Silver by Juliet Kemp⠀ ✨Captain Hook (a villain you can’t take seriously)⠀ *can't remember bec if i hate it, I DNF. Out of sight, out of mind. LOL*⠀ ⠀ ✨Mr. Smee (a book that comforts you)⠀ Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman⠀ ✨Wendy (a character that made you fall in love)⠀ Jill from Songs of Our Breakup by Jay E. Tria⠀ ⠀ ✨Tiger Lily (a book that you are loyal to)⠀ Carrie by Stephen King. • Keeping the Distance by Clarisse David .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ ⠀ #bookstagram #bibliophile #booknerdPH #bookworm #instabooks #bookish #bookishfeature #bookcommunity #alwaysreading #bookstagramersPH #IGreads #books⠀ #selfpublishing #indiepublishing⠀ #romanceclass ⠀ #readlocalPH #diversebooks #diversereads⠀ #kindlebooks #succulent #zebraplant #HaworthiaFasciata⠀ #ireadYA #IHeartIloilo (at Iloilo City, Philippines)
