The lustrous Yellow Diamond, the second Diamond to be created. She was, and still is, incredibly headstrong, stubborn, and powerful. She is a very vengeful and ruthless being, willing to end anyone who dares threaten her or her family. White Diamond poured some of her essence into the goo that would go on and create YD; along with relinquishing some of her abilities that was passed down to Yellow.

Her place of origin is in a very lone galaxy, and her creators, along with White Diamond, chose a planet that was rich in metals and electrical activity. Unfortunately for them, that planet had a surplus of nitrogen.

Yellow Diamond was intended to emerge looking exactly like White Diamond, gem shape, gem placement, color and all; the only exception was just a clothing change and minor personality alterations. During the incubation process, the goop was riddled with nitrogen, which caused her to become off-color; not to mention she was slightly over-pressured during the process. The over-pressuring caused her to be shorter than White Diamond, only reaching to her shoulders in height.

When the planet was obliterated during her gem emerging and her body forming, she was taken in the ship that was there to claim here. The man who created her was beyond furious and humiliated, the second Diamond coming out as an off-color and defect. The first things she heard when she emerged were harsh, unforgiving insults and verbal abuse from the man, which stuck with her forever. 

Much to White’s surprise, looking at this brand new creation set off a spark within her. Love. Love for one’s family. Yellow was practically a daughter to her. White intervened and took the blame for Yellow’s physical flaws. Embarrassed and ashamed, the creator presented Yellow to their ruler, and he was disappointed– but he was not angry.  Yellow Diamond’s duty was simple: Be their ruler’s personal body guard. She was programmed to know each and every form of combat, so she carried out her duties well. Other tasks she was involved in was aiding White Diamond in supplying the homeworld with energy.                                                      FACTS

Height: 48 feet tall (14.63 meters) Age: About 300,000 to 340,000 years old Personality: Alert, boastful, brave ,competitive, confident, courageous, decisive, dependable, determined, headstrong, passionate, prideful, stubborn, temperamental, and volatile. Abilities: Lightning generation/manipulation, electrical interference, aura projection, combat mastery, combustion inducement/manipulation, danger sense, electromagnetism, energy sensing, enhanced durability, enhanced endurance, enhanced reflexes, gravity manipulation, metal manipulation/generation (also able to turn any material into metal), invisibility, seismic sense, super-strength, superspeed, and weapon mastery.
