i made a zine with my student org! body of mine is a compilation of essays, poems, and works of art centered on the experiences of gender minorities, namely transgender people and women. it was put together as a part of a semester-long trans rights and bodily autonomy campaign and given out for free on campus. now it's also online! you can read it as a pdf or as a digital flipbook on itch.io

i contributed a lot of design work and some original art. i'm ezra castle in the credits :)

So the YDSA group I used to be an exec for went down hill. This group is supposed to be a socialist and democratic group. The new exec board consists of Communists and Tankies that are re-writing the RSO’s papers to be strictly Communist.

They had the audacity to talk to me like I am an outsider and mansplained to me that Tankie isn’t a real term.

I need some people's opinions on a situation I'm dealing with.

My best friend, let's call her M, was hanging out with K, who I've been friends with for almost a year. K recently stepped down as chairwoman of our university YDSA chapter.

M texted me to tell me a few things, which K asked her not to tell me. Apparently K has a crush on me, even though she knows I have a partner, and she repeatedly misgendered me during their conversation.

For context, K is a trans lesbian and I'm a trans man. We both started hrt six months ago. M is also a trans woman. This is really bugging me, because K was never transphobic towards me when we were hanging out. She has said biphobic things and used the term "theyfab" before, though.

I'm out of university for the summer, so I won't see K until the fall. I'm trying to work out what to think about this. I totally believe M, for the record. So the problem is how to deal with K now.

The treachery of my local YDSA chapter knows no bounds. Bunch of tankies hiding their power level. They are not the side of democracy. But I fucking got them good today. I hope they enjoyed having to throw all my flyers in the trash in the classroom they're not supposed to be meeting in.
