time for some random headcanons of the hp au!! mainly because of my inability to stop reading john egbert and the goblet of sick fires but whatever

so. houses!! Jack, Roger and the rest of the choir (save for Simon) are in Slytherin; Ralph and the twins are in Gryffindor; Simon is in Hufflepuff, the sweetie; idk Piggy’s in either Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw, but i’m leaning towards the latter

i haven’t really given the others’ lineages much thought, but Jack is a pureblood (and maybe Roger too idk); Ralph is a half-blood (i can see his mother being unable to handle his magical heritage - and also the fact that her husband is in constant danger due to being an auror - and leaving because of this); Piggy and Maurice are Muggleborn (i can see Piggy’s aunt being confused but supportive, and Maurice’s parents being interested from a scientific viewpoint idk); Simon as either a pureblood or a muggleborn (if its the former then Simon’s family would fear that he’s a almost Squib or just a really weak wizard - maybe simons powers make him exhausted and thats why he faints idk - if its the latter then i can see them freaking out because of his powers)

as for the Quidditch stuff, Slytherin’s team is comprised of Jack, Roger, Maurice, Bill, Robert, Harold and Henry (idk if Henry’s a choirboy, i remember him being a littlun but he was introduced with the choir so??). i haven’t decided the positions yet, but Jack and Ralph are Captains of their respective teams and Samneric are Beaters in homage to the Weasleys

Piggy and Simon aren’t players themselves because Piggy is fat physically unfit and fainting while on a broomstick is dangerous, but they still watch the matches mainly to support Ralph

Jack tries to make these “inspiring” speeches before the matches, but really all he does is rant about how Ralph sucks in bed and how theyre going to crUSH THE GRYFFINDOR TEAM (he isn’t as, er, impassioned when it comes to beating the other teams though)

Jack kind of hates it when Bill and Robert take too long (read: make out) in the Quidditch locker rooms before and after practice as if he doesn’t do this with Ralph and/or Roger

Simon’s really good at Herbology and Divination (his proficiency in the latter really puzzles the fuck out of Piggy), the pigster himself probably excels at all the subjects except for Divination a la Hermione (LET HIM HAVE THIS ONE THING OKAY) and Ralph and Roger both like DADA the best (Ralph because he wants to be an Auror like his dad; though Roger prefers the ‘Dark Arts’ part a whole lot more)

speaking of Roger, he probably exploits the Cruciatus Curse and the Sectumsempra spell way more than he should…

along that vein, Ralph favors the fire-making charm (Incendio)

after receiving Howlers from his father, Jack PMSes is very irate and moody (more than usual, i mean) for the rest of the day; basically, he’s prone to bitch fits in which he gets really pissy and hexes the littluns – i mean, younger students.

much to his immense chagrin, Jack’s patronus is a really fat pig; Ralph’s is a pony, Maurice’s is a squid, Piggy’s is an owl and maybe Simon’s is a Luzon Bleeding-heart dove oR A LIZARD/CHAMELEON OMG? Not sure about the others, but both Jack’s and Simon’s patronuses(?) eventually change into something resembling a horse, and Roger’s patronus ironically shifts into a pig

Simon (and maybe Roger?) is the only one of the boys who isn’t scared shitless of entering the Forbidden Forest, no matter what Jack claims

Jack and Ralph share the same wand cores ｡◕‿◕｡

P.S. I haven’t seen much HP au stuff (except maybe one or two pieces of fan art), so it’d be really appreciated if anyone tells me if they’ve found anything! :D
