Hans’ eyes shot open to a blur, and immediately shut again. He didn’t know where he was, what had happened, and why he was waking up on the floor with a bright light and shadowy outlines of people looming over him. With a groan, he opened his eyes slowly and allowed things to come into focus. There was a small crowd surrounding him, and beyond that…books. A library?

“I’m fine,” he croaked, trying to sit up and failing. “I think…I think I just passed out.”

Thank the stars that he was opening his eyes. Wide, doe like, green eyes stared down at him as he began to stir and try to sit up. Marian had heard a thud and had rushed over when she saw the collapsed form on the floor. When he spoke up she had to keep herself from shaking her head at how much the man sounded like her brother for a moment. Turning to her employee Emma she spoke in a softer tone now. 

“There are some water bottles in my supply closet in the office, would you go fetch one of them?” she asked before turning back to the man. “Usually people who fall and smack their head against the floor aren’t just ‘fine’. What is your name sir?”
