SHEESH ...   maybe semi was a bit naive when he’d thought that reuniting with wakatoshi as an adult would feel different than as a teenager. this guy is still huge, is the first thing he notes. in fact, it’s probably fair to say that since he’s gone pro, wakatoshi has had to bulk up even more since high school. but semi had at least thought that growing up himself wouldn’t make the revelation so crazy— he’d gotten a bit taller, although barely, and his hair had grown out enough to make him seem more mature.

[ yeah, although those are a few things that i think myself. if tendō was here, he’d insult my hair and my fashion sense. ] semi frowns, but directs it at the ground instead of towards his old captain. wakatoshi has always been more perceptive than people give him credit for, and semi can’t really guess how his old captain would react to a frown right now.

it’s definitely no way to greet someone at a long-time-no-see reunion. semi had already tried to think of his lead-in— something much simpler, and more socially acceptable. he extends a small gift bag filled with gohei mochi using one hand, and with the other gives his friend a firm, friendly pat on the shoulder.  “  you know, you really must be a natural at traveling around now. more than me, at least. my office sent me to nagano recently for some grunt work, but i didn’t fare great. you know they really do have monkeys in their hot springs ? honestly, i thought they were gonna snag this omiyage from my inn room if they smelled it. it’s better it’s safe in tokyo now.  ”

so How I Met Your Mother is gonna have an alternate ending, huh? I was actually thinking about it since the finale, thinking that maybe THERE IS two endings. They gave us the shitty one and the good one would be only available on DVD so people would feel the need of buying it.
