Devils Like to Dance Manga - Chapter 1

This is a project I started back in 2019 that I honestly didn’t know if I was going to finish. But I finally did, and I must say I’m pretty proud of it ! This project is the manga/comic adaptation I did of a Black Butler fanfiction called “Devils Like to Dance”. It’s a really, really good story, 10/10 recommand it uwu

I’m probably not going to continue to draw the story unfortunately, it’s too damn long and I took litteraly 2 years just for one little chapter (but knowing my obsession for it, I might just end up doing it...)

Even though I made this chapter, I don’t own any of the characters nor the story, it respectively belongs to @Yana Toboso and @hateweasel

And if anyone ask themselves ‘why does it look like this ?’, just know that I have no grasp of proportions, lightinning, shadows, etc (and that is probably why I ruined some of the panels after inking lmao). It’s also been drawn over the spawn of 2 years, so my style must have changed somehow too

Imagine t'es là ça fait plus d'un an que tu dessines quasiment plus, t'as perdu ton hyperfixation qui était aussi ton inspiration, tu passes plus de 5h sur un simple croquis et t'es déçu du résultat... J'avais une tout autre idée en tête pour ce dessin mais incapable de l'exécuter, je sais plus du tout faire de colos comme je le faisais dans le passé, ça me rend triste, un peu mais bon

Oh yeah super early DLTD had POV chapters from Ciel and Alois didn't it

I think the other POV chapters are like for Seb, Lulu and Travis, right ?

Localisation making it less fun because "Alright?" is technically "ça va" but like

Everyone says "ça va"

But also, a modern teenager would say "ça va" so it's good, just less of a reference

I forgot Ciel was a The Walking Dead fan

I don't know anything about TWD except for the fact that they have zombies there so there's a possibility he might hate-watch it

Ciel's inner monologue is amazing actually

It's serious and very him and that makes it fun

Both Seb saying 'lois is an idiot for putting a lizard in a toaster and Ciel who, in a less censored world, would've said : "Oh le con. Oh le putain d'imbécile. Qui est assez débile pour mettre un putain de lézard dans un putain de grille-pain de merde."
