Golden Wind Masterlist: La Squadra
My blorbos
yall I finally convinced my friend to watch stranger things with me—we’re probably gonna start watching in about an hour. I’m gonna take notes. It’s gonna be e m b a r a s s i n g. Let’s see if I can make her a byler.
Is this anything?
Is it bad to say i want a break from my friends? I love them, they’re very close to me, but some mornings it’s just not what i want to deal with.
I always wanna be there for my friends, but I can’t handle hearing your venting at 7am. Im sorry. Like i wish i could help, really, but i just hfff im still waking up, processing, and more than half the time i don’t know what to say, because i don’t want to say something wrong. It’s sensitive and deep stuff, and i just don’t know what to fucking do anymore. I can’t tell her to stop because it’d be insensitive, but i’ve noticed that i literally shut down when she talks about the stuff. I mean, i’ll listen i suppose, but i can’t guarantee the right words to come up, or any words at all. I’ve never had to personally deal with the stuff she talks about, so i justahfksjfo explodes.
Sorry for the vent posts chat, i feel like i’ve literally had no one to talk about this with, and i just need to get it off my chest somehow.
please stop me 🤧🤧
leave ya @‘s below babes you know what to do
I think more people need to appreciate kurokos basketball for what it is. It is so good… and like yes it is absolutely ridiculous with the basketball superpowers and the dog that looks like kuroko and if you watched the dub you know how absolutely off the wall silly that shit gets. HOWEVER i also think it’s ridiculous plays really well into its message. here is this group of teen prodigies who are so wildly good at this sport, and the way their initial team was set up caused them to start looking at this game that they started out enjoying into something that was like… work. like something they had to do because they were the best, and its a responsibility for them to keep winning. The expectations put on these children to be the best made them so bored that instead of seeing their opponents as their competition, they turned on each other during games. One of them saw this way of playing and hated it, he hated what this sense of pride and greed and competitiveness had done to everyone and decided that he wanted to play basketball again. So he found a team that would let him have fun.
The whole series talks about the phenomenon of being so good at something that once the challenge starts to fade we can lose interest— but the second that aomine is on the court with kagami, you can tell he’s finally having fun. When they play again, the world can tell that they’re both having fun. When something new arises that all these players have to face, they start feeling loss again. Midorima cries when shutoku loses in the winter cup, he cries because he can’t play basketball anymore, he cries because finally there was something in him that wanted to face his actual opponents, something that wanted to win alongside his teammates, and he lost to it. And he couldn’t play anymore.
Its about victory, and what it means to be a winner. Its about how when a win becomes too commonplace, it turns stale. Its about balance. its about how you will find people who can put up a fight. Its about learning to savor the taste of loss.
I made a ooc horuss playlist and it's so dookie but idc
