ok I’m so curious abt the ‘entities of joy and whimsy’ au pls explain further

Sure. Basically during the Gerry episode when he said that there are no entities of hope I thought “ok but what if there was though?”

But then I remembered: if too much fear is a bad thing, then so is too much joy. Ofc both emotions are fine within reason, they’re perfectly human in fact. But when you take them too far it gets destructive.

So I essentially just took basic human desires and cranked them up to 100. So instead of spreading true joy, the avatars generate negative feelings instead. But since the entities are stupid and don’t know how humans work they think those are the same thing.

And yes all the bad things in tma still happen, just in different ways.

But honestly I made this au bc I like designing characters.

BRIDGERTON VERSES FOR SOME BABES !!

This Author must apologize, it's been a month since Miss Catherine Morland was presented, and yet I haven’t said a word about her, thinking there was nothing more to be said about fresh faced girls from the country. They are a dime a dozen these days, there are only so many times I can write about their artless manners and sweet faces. Well, Miss Morland decided to surprise us all. A birdie told me that she is now the sole heir of the Allen fortune (the couple she accompanied to London this year). Mr. And Mrs. Allen have no heirs and apparently decided to bestow their entire fortune to her. I was apparently not the only one who heard this news. Mrs. Allen, who so far had no one to amuse in her drawing room, had to send her servants to buy more milk twice this morning.

There are two tragic things about Miss Emma Woodhouse -- her life story and the fact she still hasn’t realized she is no longer a big fish in a small pond. We all heard the dreadful story -- lost her mother as a child, and her father suddenly passed away last year. Now that she is out of mourning, she is experiencing her first London season. We all heard the rumors about her -- the most accomplished girl in her town. While that may be true in a small town, she is no match for these seasons finest girls. 

Rejoice! We have another prince on our shores! Adam Barbot de Villenueve is the Crown Prince of a small kingdom and he is here to meet England’s finest young ladies. Where it is located exactly is debated by several mamas -- some say it's near France, while others claim it borders Russia. It doesn’t matter -- he is a Prince and extremely handsome. HIs manners are said to be impeccable and he dances very beautifully. This author hasn’t had the chance to see him for herself yet, but his blue eyes are described as jewels and his mouth is often compared to a ripe strawberry. And no, I don’t know what that means either.

Charles Bingley may not be the richest (or most titled) man in the marriage-mart this year, but he is considered to be a favorite by everyone he meets. Handsome, kind, and with a great affinity for dancing and talking, he is invited to every party and soiree. And most surprisingly -- he shows up to every event with a smile on his face! It’s a pity he is usually accompanied by his sister, who is not a favorite of this Author.

The Tremaine sisters are once again back in town, which means the Featheringtons may rest -- they are no longer considered the worst dressed family of the ton. They are accompanied by their mother, who despite her age, is still considered the most beautiful woman in every room she enters. They are staying at the Perrault Family Home, but Ella Perrault, the daughter of the family, stepdaughter to Lady Tremaine, is once again absent from every function the sisters attend. Lady Tremaine has said she is at home resting -- she is sick again. Some whisper that Lady Tremaine keeps the poor girl locked up due to her great beauty and that she doesn’t want anyone to upstage her daughters. I don’t quite believe that theory, for the greatest threat to the sisters is their mother. Still, I’ll keep my eyes peeled for the sight of the elusive Ella Perrault.

Greer really hates these places. You'd thinking she'd get hit on less with everybody looking just as strange as she did. Hellspawn galore -- this is why she didn't go to Monsteropolis that much, despite all the invitations.

There was a reason she was here -- but in all the horrific splendor of this dank place (sulfur: why was it always sulfur?) she's forgotten momentarily. She slinks to the bar, carried silently by thick footpads; tail kept a little more closely wound to her lithe, furry form. Wouldn't want anybody to step on it -- or worse, pull it.

The bartender gives her a nod of acknowledgement as she settles close to the corner -- he's busy pouring shots for a blonde to her right who looks comically human against the backdrop of ghouls. Greer pays her little attention, eyes scanning the wide space to her left for any immediate threat.

Someone's got a hit on you. Greer's sensitive ears pick up the warning easily -- somehow there's no mistaking that the words are meant for her. Right, maybe that was what she was doing here. Why can't she remember?

"What can I get you, pussy cat?" the bartender asks.

Green-yellow eyes lock in, nose wrinkling as she looks him up & down. She stinks like jerky. He might look human, but he definitely isn't. Right, there was someone else here who looked human. Eyes zero in on the blonde across the way, & when a wink is shot her way Greer knows she's the source of the voice.

She jerked her head towards the other woman. "I'll have what she's havin'." she tells him, before making her way over to the empty stool to the blonde's left. She sits, smells the absinthe instantly regrets asking for it as she turns to face her informant.

"I know you from somewhere?"

Are "spore tales" and "of gay bugs" made to be compatible? Like, I assume "mimics" work with both just fine and I'm pretty sure "of gay bugs" is in fact canon for "mimics".

But I'm not sure about this two for some reason.

The original intent was for ALL my BF fics to be in the same timeline. That's why the bigger house Team Snakemouth gets at the end of A Little Problem & rooted Mother Chompy show up in Mimics.

I kinda accidentally screwed that original All The Same Timeline idea over in Three's Not A Crowd by having Chompy still be small in this fic, which would imply it takes place before A Little Problem, right? But if Kabbu and Leif were already together by that time it def would have come up in Problem. Oops ^^"

I don't want to go retcon stuff and fix the timeline when people have already read the fics as they are. Also I guess that way people who don't like shipping in general or don't care for Kabbu/Leif can read Spore Tales & Mimics and ignore the shipping fics more easily since well. They're only part of the series if you want them to be.
