saw a vid about mark with fangs and now all i can think about is how he occasionally likes to just. . . bite at readerās neck and soothe the imprint of his teeth over with his tongue. he just likes to bite and adores the way you shudder, the way your heartbeat picks up ever so slightly when he does.
he especially adores the sight of his teeth marks he tends to leave on your thighs.
Okay so. This was supposed to be a warm-up so I could doodle smth for Ancha that I've been hinting at but uhh. It took too long and I got invested š so hello @bagelkat22 !! I doodled those Godswap designs! :D
Technically, Killer should be a LOT bigger and Dream should have an alternative outfit w/o the circlet and robe but ehhh.
To start: Dream! (Far left)
-> Dream is a mortal who (along with his twin) was cursed by an elder God. He is spiteful and resents to God's for turning a blind eye on him and his sibling when they were children, doing nothing to help them, so he his cautious and callous.
-> He and his brother live in the wilderness in a hut all their own. He is known for being the 'bite' to Nightmare's 'bark'. Nightmare is vulnerable, but Dream is not.
-> Touching Dream will insight mortals into an overwhelming reflection of Dream's emotions. Often this will sting/burn the recipient. Dream tends to be angry most of the time, so his usual output is that anger and spite, which led to him having more conflicts.
-> When Killer (disguised) arrives in their grotto, Dream is the one to recognize what Killer is and the one to urge Nightmare to run. Killer had intended on just checking out the two prophecy-bound souls, but when Dream and Night ran, Killer sensed a hunt. Dream was constantly blocking Nightmare from view, even purposefully getting in the path of Killer's reach to act as a living shield and distraction. He skewered right through Killer's right forearm as well, which finally made Killer change his target.
-> Dream's fire to fight made Killer interested and was the reason he whisked the mortal away. (Killer can also feel pulses of the emotions the twins give off at contact, which is kinda intoxicating at first.)
-> Once in captivity in the temple, Dream is allowed to flee. He is very good at hiding in tight spaces and lashing out once found. His unique magic shape also allows him to better hide in the shadows.
-> Very openly vocal about hating the God (gods. Dust and Horror are... around too.) And disrespecting him in any way that he can.
-> Later, it becomes clear that Dream can get emotionally overwhelmed, have panic attacks, and heave up his own curse. It leaves him weak and hazy in the aftermath, which usually allows Killer to recover him from whatever place he'd chosen to hide.
-> In this doodle, Dream is depicted post-breakdown. He (through his corruption) transfers his sorrow at being separated from his brother to Killer. This, along with Dream giving up the chase, prompts change. Including Dream recieving new clothes courtesy of Killer.
-> His red robe is one Killer was given for potential acolytes millennia ago that he finally actually wants to use. It's made of a thick material that rarely let's Dream bleed through it with his goop. Any other clothes he wears become submerged and stained (ex. His pants.)
-> The circlet is from after this beginning redemption arc as well, as Killer realizes he's feeling affection towards Dream. It's a gift of gold molded like an apple w/ leaves on either side. Dream is not yet an acolyte at this moment either, but Killer is having thoughts about it and Dream is coming to terms that this asshole can change for the better.
Next up: Killer! (Far Right first)
-> Big Killer! That's his godly form, the one he uses usually when interacting with Dream pre-breakdown. The palace is built w/ the large gods in mind first, then certain areas are smaller for acolytes, so he's usually able to use this Big form or shrink it down if needed.
-> Killer is the God of Lost Souls. The Missing, the Dead, the Runaways, the Hopeless. This earned him an early reputation as an 'Evil' god, even if it wasn't wholly true. Killer, unsure what it meant to be such a god, ended up following what the majority of his worshippers defined him as. A god of those killed and those who kill. The sport in making souls disappear and the spoils which follow. He, over centuries, gains only the bloodiest, ruthless, most unhinged in his temples and prayers.
-> Gods in this universe are directly influenced by the belief of those who call out to them. Killer is most known for his temple's being run by 'packs' rather than orders. Groups who seek out prey and hunt for it, usually being other living beings rather than animals. Therefore, Killer began doing the same as a rite for himself. Which did it first became lost to time.
-> Killer's clothes are torn and worn, resembling ancient peoples who were great warriors. The teeth represent the jaws of death, and other bones the offerings he often recieves.
-> His soul is a red target, hardened and altered by the bloodlust most rituals and prayers have for him. By the amount of EXP he's gotten from his own tortured souls he's ended.
-> Dust and Horror share a domain with Killer, all having been labeled as cruel and unusual gods. Killer, however, is the farthest gone. (Dust is Executions, Retribution, and Karma I think. Horror is probably Famine, Bounty, and Luck of the Hunt. People usually only recall him for the first one.)
Then Tiny Killer! (Middle)
-> This is post-breakdown. He recognized the sorrow, felt an emotion again for the first time in a long time, and realized that he didn't want this mortal to be afraid of him anymore. A feeling of longing shocked his mind ALL the way back to when he first became himself. A time when he wanted mortals to know him like they did the other older gods. Before he was discarded as a threat.
-> In this arc he tends to be equally mortal-sized (to spend time with Dream) and god-sized. He begins treating Dream better, stops hunting him for sport, gives him gifts of clothes and foods he likes and a safe place to sleep. Just a hint of faith within Dream (a wonder if Killer could change) pushes him to be able to do so. Close proximity to the mortal and all.
-> His eyesockets drip less bloody, determined, rotton magic. His soul softens bit by bit. Even his robes begin to mend as he starts listening to Dream suggest how to make more mortals like him. All three of them. He... starts feeling things again. Through Dream, at first, then with him.
Smth smth Killer loves that twink. At some point the curse is lifted from Dream and they go through a 'Dream is scared outta his mind because he's not the same so he's not as confident or defiant or fiesty and will Killer hate him for it?' Arc but. It ends fine and Dream gets to use the curse's form optionally after that.
Oh and Killer's whole 'Lost Souls' bit? Dream helps him pivot to the concept of the positives. Helping those running away from abusive homes, helping locate children lost in the woods, using hunting skills from his temple's Packs to basically establish a search and rescue system. Missing people is his specialty. Not to say he still won't disappear the people who deserve it. (Dream, eventually after being an acolyte for a while, is made into the God of Returned Souls. Safety, reunion, the search. Killer sends him out more than once to help guide Souls back where they should be before it occurs to him that he's very good at it.)
But That's all uhhh. After their toxic yaoi arc. And not even touching on whatever's up with Nightmare and Cross š
