My year
Warning: I’ve had a pretty terrible year. I will try to focus on something good that happened as well
January: started second half of my fourth year of university; my mom died.
February: Numb. Funeral. I became closer to my sisters.
March: I honestly can’t remember. This is when I decided to extend my university.
April: blur of exams and practicum
May: Practicum, which was a good experience
June: Broke up with my girlfriend of two years. Decided that I wasn’t coping well and needed some extra help
July: I still couldn’t find a job, so I spent most of July stressed about money and doing nothing
August: Trip to Nova Scotia with my sister and her boyfriend
September: started fifth year of university, felt optimistic about my courses
October: the Hell month. Mom’s burial. My 22nd birthday. I experienced dissociation for the first time. I went back on anti-depressants
November: things are looking better. I joined a fitness program, started actively making choices that would be good for me. Became gentler with myself.
December: bit of a slide back from my good choices and fitness plan as I battled exams, but I’m starting to get back into it. The big 3 birthday party was the highlight of December so far
In conclusion, 2016 is going to be so much better.
