What is your name? How old are you? I’m Emma, 25 years old, and Captain of Team Vampirates. Howdy doody!

How many years have you/your teammates participated in GISHWHES? I’ve been here since the first gishwhes, and the majority of the team has participated for over 3 years now. We also have a couple of incoming newbies this year, all of whom are super fantastic, well connected, friendly and skilled.

What level of priority do you/your team assign GISHWHES? High priority. Many of us take the week off and treat it as a ridiculously exhausting holiday.

What is your intended outcome of GISHWHES? We intend to take the win, of course. <3 And, more importantly, do it surrounded by a team of people that we absolutely adore and want to commune with year round.

Do you/your team have any specific skills/trades that might be especially useful to the hunt (please provide no more then five)? We would love someone else who could edit videos in particular, but every skill has a place on this team.

Which kind of team do you prefer? Competitive, yet lovely and loving and full of love and closeness. One willing to give it their all, and impress themselves more than anyone.

Do you view familiarity with teammates a necessary aspect to a successful hunt? Absolutely. We’re super keen to make friends with new members in a real way.

Do you regularly take control of projects in which you are assigned a team (are you a natural leader)? As Captain, yes, but we have a well tested organisational system for keeping all our ducks in a row in which everyone gets control over their own items. And of course, support and collaboration where desired.

Are you easily disappointed and/or angered by imperfections? Hell no. Pick yourself up, move on to something great. <3

Which mode of contact do you prefer if/when a team/member specifically suits your needs or is interested in meeting you? We use a secret Facebook group and Skype for most of our communications.

 during that week I will have one exam on Monday and I have to learn for one that will take place after the hunt. Other than that I will be free to hunt 4.What is your intended outcome of GISHWHES?

 I’m able to knit a scarf in a day, crochet, Basic programming, boxes upon boxes of craft stuff, and I own a piano and a guitar (not super awesome on either one but I could work something out if needed) 6.In a team, which do you prefer: 1) stability and leadership through an elected team captain 2) A team, likely with a team captain, in which all group members are engaged in the decision making process 3) Or, a team in which each member is equally responsible for every aspect of the hunt.  Only if I think the person in charge would have had the abilities to do much better. But even in that case I’m very forgiving. 10.Which mode of contact do you prefer if/when a team/member specifically suits your needs or is interested in meeting you?

 I can drive and I’m probably able to borrow a Car Additional: I do feel very uncomfortable being outside and among strangers, and it might be that I won’t want to do some things because of that.

My name is Brittany and I’m 18 years old.

I have only participated in GISHWHES once. (Back in 2013.)

Mostly just looking to have fun, but I have plenty of free time to spare for GISHWHES. (I only work a part time job atm as I’m studying for my GED)

4. What is your intended outcome of GISHWHES?

Create lasting friendships and have fun.

Do you/your team have any specific skills/trades that might be especially useful to the hunt (please provide no more then five)?

Decent photographer/video editor, technical experience (linux, networking, a tiny bit of coding, etc.), experienced horse owner.

I have a Panasonic Lumix FZ72 (it’s a fairly good bridge camera if you don’t want to look it up. It can make good quality videos (fhd) and photos. I don’t really have anyone here who could help out. If possible I’d like it if at least one member of the team would be located near me. For example London is okay I can go in the weekend but I can’t spend too much money on travel. :(

How many years have you/your teammates participated in GISHWHES? This is my first year

What level of priority do you/your team assign GISHWHES? Examples include: Work and School come first; I take off of work to participate; I do what I can in my free time, but I dedicate my entire free time to the scavenger hunt.  Work and school come first for me, but I always have a lot of free time so I would like to use my free time for gishwhes- but what everyone else wishes to do with school and work is completely up to them. (As long as they still use free time to help with the hunt)

What is your intended outcome of GISHWHES? Examples include: To bring awareness to a cause, to have a good experience, to win. I want to meet new people and make new friends while having fun, and trying our hardest to win. ^•^

Do you/your team have any specific skills/trades that might be especially useful to the hunt (please provide no more then five)? Examples include: Artist, Singer, Musician, Writer, Actor/Actress, access to exotic animals, Robert Downey Jr is my uncle. I am a writer and artist. (My aunts an Olympic boxer, but I don’t think that matters)

In a team, which do you prefer: 1) stability and leadership through an elected team captain 2) A team, likely with a team captain, in which all group members are engaged in the decision making process 3) Or, a team in which each member is equally responsible for every aspect of the hunt. No leader, laissez faire. I would like a team where we are all equals, no ‘bossy I’m a leader no matter what. Do what I say or else’ types. But if people need a leader- I wouldn’t mind someone taking charge. (as long as they are nice, and respectful to others feelings.)

Do you view familiarity with teammates a necessary aspect to a successful hunt? I felt that knowing one another is a great way to win, because then we know each others strengths and weaknesses. So I would like to get to know all the other team members a little bit before it starts.

Do you regularly take control of projects in which you are assigned a team (are you a natural leader)?  i am a natural leader-but as you read before I wouldn’t mind having an equal team

Team SuperUnnatural looking for members!

What is your (first) name and how old are you? (If you’re a part of a small team, briefly state how many of you there are and your ages) Maggie- there are 3 of us currently, ages 17-18 with 2 more also intending to join.

How many years have you/your teammates participated in GISHWHES? 2 of us participated in 2014, the rest are new!

What level of priority do you/your team assign GISHWHES? School/work/health will come first of course, but we want to dedicate all possible free time to the hunt

What is your intended outcome of GISHWHES? Not many people seem to know about it in my country so it would definitely be great to bring more awareness to it, as well as just having a lot of fun and meeting new people!

Do you/your team have any specific skills/trades that might be especially useful to the hunt (please provide no more then five)? Can play piano/guitar/sing, multilingual, some photoshop/video editing experience + my brother studies digital design, another member is good at crafts and baking. 

In a team, which do you prefer: A team, likely with a team captain, in which all group members are engaged in the decision making process

Do you view familiarity with teammates a necessary aspect to a successful hunt? Yes! I feel its important to get to know my teammates beforehand, probably through a Facebook group or something-which also makes it easier for free discussions and strategies

Do you regularly take control of projects in which you are assigned a team (are you a natural leader)? I like to organize things (for example, I’m the one who created the team and is looking for members) but I also like to share roles once the team is all put together so we can make joint decisions. 

Are you easily disappointed and/or angered by imperfections? No, as long as you try. I’m sure I have many imperfections myself.

What is your (first) name and how old are you? Bethany, 36. Our team currently has 7-10 members, ages 23-40 (most are around 35).

How many years have you/your teammates participated in GISHWHES? We did it last year, and will be rocking it even harder this year.

What level of priority do you/your team assign GISHWHES?Personally, I’ll be doing as much as I can, but as a team, we’re pretty laid back. If there’s something that catches your fancy, do it; if not, no worries. And life comes up - you might not be able to do much of anything, and that’s okay. (But if there’s a ‘full team’ task that requires you to send a picture or something, you should be able to do at least that.)

What is your intended outcome of GISHWHES? Wild and crazy time 

Do you/your team have any specific skills/trades that might be especially useful to the hunt? Singers, musicians, theatre folk, writers… we’re a little short on visual artists, though.

Team Tadragonbros

 There are currently six of us, but some have had the need to drop and others may too. All of us are 17-18. I’m Bailey, one of the team leaders and I’m 17,

For a couple of us we’re veterans, some it’s their third, other’s second. A few of us are also newbies.

 Mental and Physical health always come first. We understand that work and school comes first but we still expect you to pull your share.

We want to have fun, meet new people, make good art, and hopefully win.

We have an artist, a very crafty person, and many other skills that are too long to list in five.

We have stability and leadership in our team captains and help from all the veterans.

We do! We don’t need all of us to know each other right off the bat but we’d like to take a saturday or two where we all team bond and become friends and familiar with each other.

I have a good direction in leadership and have a lot of people respect me. I do have certain mental illnesses which cause a bit of a problem when major issues arise but I’ve learned to get through and be a good leader.

My own, yes, others no. We do want the best that you can give but usually we’re pretty relaxed.
