As much as I complain about how the Hobbit movies portrayed Legolas and Thranduil’s relationship, I must admit that I am a massive slut for the trope of “emotionally distant, traumatized guardian and rebellious/spunky child” where they both need to confront their issues and express the hurt they’re both feeling before they can begin healing together.
