“...and there, in the background, the brite spring sky's sediment had sunk to a dark band of blue. Ah, it mesmerized me...like the snow had done. All the woe of the words, "I am" seemed dissolved there, painlessly, peacefully. Hae-Joo announced, "The Ocean.”

I found out about Yelapa through my hair dresser. A bay reachable only by boat with zero cars and they have fresh pie slices for sale on the beach... yes.
Yelapa life is pretty much a barefoot paradise with walks to waterfalls and an occasional boat that drops families off long enough to eat/swim and if their timing is good, warm meringue pie from a nearby oven on tinfoil. One of the most glorious treats I have ever had on a beach.
They have a few places to eat on the beach, a tiny general store and a few snack stands along the way with cold hard cash being the only requirement. If possible, bring a few groceries. We took a small local boat to Yelapa, so make sure you can handle your load all at once. Once you’re there you can’t really get lost either, it just dead ends to cliffs, rock walls and water.
We stayed right on the Bay in an open air rental from a lovely woman named Celeste. There were no solid walls or nets separating us from the water and I wasn't too sure how the bug situation would play out. But as long as we didn't keep the lights on in the evening we were good to go. Making for welcomed early nights and rising with the sun with the sound of the waves yards away.
I’ll be back again Yelapa, maybe when I retire, but I’ll be back
Feeling grateful and happy on this Christmas Eve. Thank you, lovelies, for making this life so bright and lovely just by being you. 💫❤️✨ #allthebrightplaces #holdinguptheuniverse #mexico #yelapa #christmaseve #love #youarewanted #youareloved #youmakemelovely (at Yelapa, Jalisco, Mexico) https://www.instagram.com/p/BrzHKJ_B7pz/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1wmbr6dio91uh
