A few days ago on our dog walk my husband and I discovered this rugged beauty in full bloom. I believe it is called ‘Old Mexico Prickly Pear’ or just ‘Old Mexico’ (lat. Opuntia Gomei). Pam, @pamdigging do you think that is the correct identification? I have never seen a cactus of this size flowering its head off in nature only in botanical gardens. Texas at its best!
