hello, just wanted to say i really appreciate all your explanations on korean grammar/nuances. i’m korean american & just have basic understanding of it so it’s been helpful to read your in-depth posts!

Oh, how wonderful! I’m glad those explanations actually make sense, aha 😂 I learn a lot from writing those too - I think native speakers often find it harder to explain their language in grammatical terms, unless they’ve been trained. Certainly that was the case for me until recently. Here’s hoping these posts will continue to help you in the future! 감사해요 💖

tbh i don't even think this is abt fanartists but writers trying to dunk on other writers in attempt to feel better abt themselves

oh that’s definitely a big part of it, but even i get a little 🙄 at how much more traction fanartists get than writers (not to mention the fact that artists take commissions & it’s so much harder to write as a side hustle!), so i get the feeling they’re redirecting their frustration about that onto other writers in order to (as you said) feel better about themselves 😂

my suggestion would be a heating pad (with auto shut off) or heating blanket (same), depending on price limit. when i lived in an uninsulated basement + mi winters, i only survived nights with my heating pad (+ multiple comforters + extra thick pjs and wool socks).

electric blanket? or if you have a dryer, you could put blankets & stuff in there to make them warmer.

The second option would be wasting electricity, but maybe I can get away with an electirc blanket.

can you do hot water bottles? they don't help everything but if they're in your bed they should keep you moderately toasty at the least (careful about burns though)

I’ve been using the chemical heat packs I take camping with me. They only sort of help.

i mean adults can fall for stupid diet culture shit too... but yeah this is rly not healthy for them or anyone who hears that stuff.

my point about them being adults is it’s functionally not my responsibility to fix their relationship with food, no matter how distorted it is. It is indeed a struggle to be around.

I hope you’re okay and you stay strong. My supervisor talks about food like this and it really puts me in a bad space.

It’s really not good for my mental health, that’s part of why the two weeks camping was difficult. But luckily I pretty much you don’t have to do this outside of events or during household things and the majority of the rest of my social group thinks it’s kind of ridiculous, so that helps.
