The sentient vehicle autism has gotten to me again because of an ambulance encounter today, and so now im thinking, what if emergency response vehicles were sentient? What do they think when theyre sent out on the road?
What does an ambulance think when its on the highway with their driver and other emergency responders? They can only hope the cars and humans make way for them. And when theres a patient in their backspace, they know what to do and how to stay calm, but the fear of drivers not getting out of the way is always there...
What does a firetruck think when they just put out a fire? They can only hope the people in in the building survived, or that there were no animals struck in the wildfire. That smell of smoke and those scared screams, like, they got used to it over the years, but it still always stings being surrounded by all that panic..
What does a police car think when its out on a chase? Theyre not fazed anymore by all the screaming, the gunfire, the having to chase down other cars because the driver of the car did something stupid, the having to listen to victim's stories. The having to put with arrested people that resist arrest and fight the officers. And oh, the having to carry criminals in the back seat. There must be so much on the mind of a police car.
What does a Hazmat - vehicle think while on duty? Knowing theyre carrying deadly, hazardous material in their backseat that could harm their drivers, other innocent people, and even them? Theyve taken time to learn about many different hazardous material, because, well, its their job to safely transport it, but things can always go wrong and the car is not waiting for that moment...
