#TransformationTuesday #ExcuseTheFbomb ...the point of this post is not to show off, but simply to present an example that growth is possible. -- I get asked pretty often, "Can you please post a clip comparing what you used to sound like to what you sound like now?". Usually when people make that request, they're REALLY asking me to post a clip from my teenage years as proof that I was as awful as I claim I was. Unfortunately (fortunately 😅), Hurricane Katrina destroyed a lot of the video footage and CD's (yes, long ago we had VHS and CD's) of my early performances/recordings. However, even in this clip from 2011(🤔???) VS the second clip recorded just a few months ago, you can hear the remarkable difference in tone and control brought about by learning to consistently sing on my body. -- Don't get me wrong, I had years of professional training in the first clip; but, because I still had the bad habit of engaging my throat/tongue root for control, I often ended up sounding amateurish and weak. The good news: Much like a professional athlete, I'm always researching and training to get my instrument to the next level. I obsessively studied, consulted with medical doctors & bodywork experts, and - yes - I also took lessons with incredible masters. I learned to access muscles I didn't even know I had for vocal support, and my voice just opened up (wider range, more resonance, and WAAAAAY more control). So dramatic was the change in my vocal confidence, that I decided to share my discoveries in our popular #BreathingBootcamp workshops and I'm even in the process of writing a book about it. -- And even though my book will be pretty epic 😌 #YesItWill, you don't have to wait for it to begin your own journey. I give free tips on this very page to get you started on using the right muscles. But you can also book a session with me or with one of my amazing associate coaches (each of them personally and thoroughly trained by me in all the most cutting edge training methods). Don't wait. Start now, and discover what your voice is really capable of. [clickable link in the bio]
