Witches PacRim AU? I am intrigued!

okay okay okay so like

it’s all homemade magic - herbs drying from the rafters, the kids practicing pentagrams on the chalkboard, spelling out latin and greek with alphabet magnets on the fridge, ingredients in jars in the cabinets

there are carpooling witches and soccer club witches and PTA mom and dad witches

they get along pretty great with their non-magic neighbors (sometimes various imps cause trouble in other’s gardens, but it’s nothing herc or stacker can’t win them over with a winning smile and friendly apology)

no one sees the kaiju coming, not even the seers; luna is one of the first victims.  stacker and tamsin find mako in the middle of the rubble of Tokyo, and it’s all stacker can do it keep mako from black magic, let alone the fighting.  chuck, as a matter of course, is allowed to study what he likes at will, because it means he’s too busy to fight with herc about whatever small thing it is today.
